My first ever mutie girl Kata grew up! Definitely gonna keep an eye out for any marking applicators that would look good on her, she’s just rather plain, but I love her bobbed tail, it’s like my favorite female mutation
My first mutie baby!
And she was from a random NCL I decided to breed! So glad I did!
Named her Kata, which is short in Swahili.
She, her mom, and her sister as definitely gonna stay with my pride!
(From Antius’s pride.)
Kaluwa, or at least what she’ll look like as an adult.
The daughter of Siri and her previous mate, a kind king, Kaluwa was brought with her mother to Taji’s pride after Siri left her previous mate because he was too kind, and didn’t offer her the power she craved.
Kaluwa and her brother Ubinafsi normally would have been killed, but Siri had grown fond of her son, and much to her displeasure, her son had grown fond of his sister.
So she lived.
Sometimes she almost wished she hadn’t.
From the start she was the pride’s punching bag, especially Taji’s, though he always made sure not to strike any lethal blows.
Once she became an adolescent, he started taking out things other than anger on her, often while being held down by the other lionesses, or even occasionally her mother.
Only time will tell just how this poor lioness deals with her pain and sorrow.
My two kings, and two very different lions indeed.
Antius is a kind and caring king of his pride, taking in many orphans and giving them a home, and even naming an outsider cub as his current heir. He takes very good care of his lionesses, and even provides shelter for any lions passing through.
Taji, however, is the completely opposite of his cousin. Cruel and malicious, he runs his pride with an iron paw. Many lionesses are claimed by him, and most ‘disappear’, though their fate is not hard to guess. What restlessness and anger he can’t take out on them, he takes out on his queen’s cub Kaluwa, a she-cub that is only alive because of her brother’s attachment to her.
