I don’t think the McLennon fandom is talking enough about John’s word association exercise from 1976.

Interview Excerpts - April 1964
Interviewer: I have to say this, I saw your wife on television and she is very, very lovely.
John: My wife? What was she doing on television?
Interviewer: Filmed with you in New York. You didn’t know, but you were.
John: (excited) When was she on?
Interviewer: At one particular time when you were making a guest appearance in the United States and they panned the cameras off on her.
John: Oh! Sneaky.
Interviewer: You didn’t know a thing about it, did you?
John: No! (laughs)
Interviewer: How’s your son?
John: He’s fine, just turned one last week.
at least in the Beatles fandom you don’t get that ‘I knew them before they were popular’ shit unless ur talkin with a 70+ year old Liverpudlian grandmother
