Paul McCartney looking very pensive in Manila, Philippines. 1966.
Start that work now, before it’s too late. Put your phone on “Do Not Disturb”, forget about your crush, close the tabs of YouTube/Twitter/Tumblr/whatever the fuck, and challenge yourself to get work done. You feel so much better when you achieve a goal, even just a small one. Don’t think about everything else going on. You first. Do your work.

Proof that true love does exist.
Heading for Washington
“When we were on the train, the Press told us why we got such a great reception in New York. They said, ‘Ah, we came to kill you, but you gave as good as you got and we love that’. They had come to shoot us down and had an attitude of shouting at us, but, ‘Hey! We’re from Liverpool! We shout back!’ They couldn’t believe that this band had come over and were shouting at them! That’s how they came to love us when they had actually come out to nail us. Besides, we did have a Number One and we were doing ‘The Ed Sullivan Show’, so that helped. But our attitudes were sort of similar and that’s how we became friends with everybody.” - Ringo Starr, from his book ‘Photograph’.

Q: Can you imagine touring like this at 80? It used to be that doing this at 40 seemed… PAUL: Unimaginable – and unseemly. Mind you, when I was 17, there was a guy in John’s art school who was 24 – who I felt so sorry for. I grieved for him [laughs]. He was so old. Doris Day, who I know a little bit, once said to me, “Age is an illusion.” I reminded her of it recently – I was wishing her a happy birthday. People say age is a number. It’s a big number the older you get. But if it doesn’t interfere, I’m not bothered. You can ignore it. That’s what I do.
