New Technologies: Best & Worst
MOST FAVORITE: TrendsMap. While I think this is oversimple, I think it is pretty neat in that you can see whats trending anywhere in the world. I think this makes for pretty interesting entertainment as far as random wondering about things or the differences in location and how that impacts the top trending news and stories or words, people, etc. I think this is neat in that it can change so fast so it will always be interesting and different or you can watch the trends move and relocate or spread. I can see how some people might hate this while others might love it. I think it is a total hit or miss. I like it but I would probably not use it because I realize what a waste of time and unproductivity it is haha. But if I were multitasking and looking for something interesting while I was watching or doing or waiting for something else, this would be a prime place to go!!!
LEAST FAVORITE: Wheel of Lunch. I feel like new technology is supposed to wow you. Have the âitâ factor, change the game. But I am not sold nor impressed on Wheel of Lunch. I understand back when it was created it may have had these aspects to it, but in our day in age, with a trillion choices of places to eat, how can you not crave SOMETHING that you must resort to a revolving wheel of lunch options? Just seems to boggle my mind. Maybe some people think its fun. But I know if Iâm hungry and craving something I can at at least come close to picking the genre of food and then searching for a place new/old to fulfill my craving tastebuds. I think we are all better than this, but small minds are easily entertained LOL.
Chrome: Earlier this year we highlighted the Amazon price tracker The Tracktor. They've released a Chrome extension that embeds the price history of Amazon products directly under the listed price for instant and easy comparison.
TRACKTOR, allows you to analyze purchases based on historical prices of equal and similar products. At first I thought there are tons of add-on apps like this but what I find most interesting here is the fact that it can tell you historically what times of the year etc are best to buy this or similar products based on aggregate price analysis. So you know when to buy everything you may need when it is most likely to be cheapest, and see the actual prices to verify/confirm, Amazing!

I am NOT a fan of twitter and therefore I would certainly NOT spend time writing out a single âtweetâ especially that takes time from true productivity. HOWEVER, I would greatly consider the twitter tool/app âSavePublishingâ which can automatically detect a tweetable sentence length on any website with text being that it suffices the 140 character limit! Sort of an add-on, this would be extremely handy if you were sick of legit typing the tweet or anything besides just wanting to copy and paste, soure/cite and publish. Therefore, I think this is truly a wonderful convenience for twitter users to tweet faster, even if less personable.

1. Blockchain Secure Property
-In the example I provided before, digitally locking property is going to have zero long term effect on physical property that can easily still use the laws of science and mass to be overtaken. If a person cannot steal the car, they will find a tow truck and simply pick it up, relocate it, remove the device that locks the car, install a new one, and override the car that way. So until everything is effectively disabled by having this removed and the product being rendered useless, it can always be stolen. Furthermore, this only becomes successful for objects and items that are far too large to be moved by force. Smaller items like iphones can always be taken, picked up and stolen until somebody hacks them and repurposes them. In this instance, I think eventually people will give up and forgo the use of secure property using technology, even if the device data cannot be accessed without a code, as much already is, it wont exist to disable the system altogether because that would be foolishly worthless. It will become that your choices will be to start from scratch and wipe it clean or login correctly.

-After thinking long and hard about my top three choices, which are all essential to our lives as we transition from a material-tangible based society to a digital one, is our identities. For every reason I hate and despise and donât understand the ambiguity and anonymity of reddit and 4chan, blockchain identity apps are working hard to recreate stability, order, and a safe and secure digital format for us all to exist and not be at risk for scammers to make an easy dime off of their ability to steal physical or intellectual proporty of ours, most importantly the simple notion of us being ourselves, and intrinsically and innately possessing value simply from our existence. Therefore, I think the ability to only release and share information with those who we want in places and situations we want is up to US, not other big data or big corporation companies that use it t o profit and stay a step ahead of us cashing in pennies on the dollar and it slowly adding up stealing from us what is naturally ours and not for profit. I donât use the technology yet, but I know it isnât far off in the distant horizon. Iâm excited to see good prevail over evil after much has descended into chaos and the law of entropy and disorder the natural state of things. I appreciate and respect and value those who plan to dedicate their lives and time to being resourceful and respectful to the public in giving back the power to the people and letting their voices be heard and not coerced.

So I think this technology is a no brainer. Iâm not sure if now I am sold that it is ready for me to use but I could def see myself doing so down the road if I knew it wasnât controlled by one party with an ulterior motive to profit from or steal my identity. Thus, I am sure this technology will survive in society and grow in influence just as we are seeing in other blockchain technology.
2. Blockchain Finance (Bitcoin)

-Bitcoin is leading the way in alternative/decentralized/cryptocurrency. I find it fascinating that it even succeeds, but then again you look at the catastrophes that are modern day governments strewn with corruption, and I can absolutely see why Bitcoin thrives. It gives the money and the power back to the people, and of course governments wouldnât like this because they are threatened. I think once there is far more weight to it instead of being seen as a black market currency, people will be much more open to it. In fact, it may may recording and legalizing transactions and flipping the illegal ones to have to be done in person physically which would be more risky and public. Likewise to the blockchain identity, I am not sure I am ready or the technology is good enough for me to utilize or want to use right now, but I can see it being so in the future. I also believe that this is a no brainer opportunity to better secure our finances digitally without a central clearing house that profits billions in the hands of a few for the sake and cost of many to simply live and conduct everyday financial means and transactions. It will be a success, mark my words.

-Rounding out my top 3 essential/vital web mashups is a blockchain technology for medical records. Of course, besides our identities and what makes us unique, and our finances which allow us to live and conduct the means of which we need to exchange things in order to survive, is our health. The privacy and personal right to ownership of our own health and physical beings is not now nor ever something that should be profitted from by others. We should work together to help each other succeed and grow and be better. This technology secures our personal innate and God-given intellectual physical health rights and takes them back from the hands of the big pharma and DNA and health companies trying to profit from our mere existence like Facebook with our social lives. I think this type of tech will become vital and essential to record keeping/privacy/and personalization of our own health, instead of letting those with our data make the decisions based on outside factors. I would already now consider (if my health care network and PCP have not already) using this technology because it is still only shared with those I authorize to know, change, or have the info of my personal healthcare. I also know it will be so tremendously successful down the road and in society as healthcare communication becomes more digital and less paper based as in the past.
