   Lately, I’ve been feeling more or less at a loss with Deidara. My muse and want to deal with him have become like a chore and I’m exactly interested anymore. However, I have put almost a years worth of time into him and I can’t bring myself to completely drop him. Besides that, I have a million and one threads that I really do enjoy that I would like to keep adding to despite having little time to be on or not wanting to.

   Because of this, I’ve decided to move to a different blog and start over. Relationships will be kept, threads will be kept but other than that, I’m starting over. Lately, I’ve been writing horribly and just not caring about it and that makes me feel awful, like Deidara and y’all deserve better. On this new blog, I’m going to be starting over not only with what I said above, but with how I write as well. It will be very similar to my new blog that I started (to help keep me at least role playing) so if you would like to check that out, that would be super cool!  

   In any case, I will not be on this blog anymore. All the posts I have will be left since I can’t convince myself to just delete it all.    Deidara had never really had any trouble with Kakuzu personally. The only time he had were the rare times the two teams would cross paths and Hidan and the blond would get into a heated argument or throw childish insults at each other from across the room or field. But, because Deidara wasn't stupid enough to try and piss him off, Kakuzu and he had never had problems among themselves.

   They, when together, found themselves standing off on the sidelines, wearily watching their two partners converse about immortality- Pft! They don't understand anything!- and quietly listen or occupy themselves with money counting in Kakuzu's case or sculpting. In any case, the two didn't not get along, but they weren't best friends either. They tolerated each other.

   That's why Deidara wasn't completely angry when he found small locks of his hair threaded between large, calloused fingers. Crystals narrowed and a freckled nose scrunched but otherwise Deidara remained still and just watched.

{☁}     "I understand someone your age might be a little... jealous of my hair," he started, lips twitching upwards at the smallest of smirks, a small indication he was partly joking, "but it would be great if you refrain from touching it, hm."

SINCE MEMORIES TRIGGERED BY SCENT ARE THE STRONGEST…

   Copper smelling, metal tasting, something so pretty red, so useful and essential. Sticky and sweet, the color of love.

   It was, in Deidara's opinion, one of the more beautiful after sights of the destruction caused by his hands. Decorating the grass with small plips that pools and soaks the earth, staining the dirt a deep brown, contrasting warm and cool tones from the crimson red to the pale blue sky above, blood was the muddy paint to finish the piece, the icing on the cake.

   Accompanied by charred flesh and hostless limbs, the sticky syrup was the final touch of the masterpiece. After the smoke had cleared and the screams fell silent, the bittersweet liquid was left among the ashes and puddled in the craters that adorned the grounds. A gorgeous sight, a distinct smell that the artist had long ago stopped retching and gagging at the over powering smell. No, now were different times.

           The blond relishes in it.

   Coating his cheeks staining the ends of silk, gliding across pink lips, Deidara feels some sort of sadistic pleasure in knowing that the now cold substance was once used to keep a body, a human, a being, alive. And now, at his hands, from his creations, these people were no more than ashes and soon to be rotting flesh and fresh sprays of thick blood across pretty features.

   A laugh, low and deep, shakes his shoulders. Bent over, a wide, crazed grin tugs red stained lips as louder, more psychotic laughter fills the now empty and hot air.

        And for long time, that's all the heavens could hear.

Day One || Gaara + Deidara

  In hindsight, the knock had been useless. Gaara pushed the door open anyway without waiting for an answer and stepped into the threshold. Missing from his strides was the typical cool confidence, from his eyes the steely glint of I don’t give a fuck. As he’d provided Deidara a mere ten minutes warning, he couldn’t expect to be greeted with waiting arms. Still, the lights had been on, and he’d technically been invited (or rather, the blond had accepted Gaara’s self-invitation), so nothing prevented him from moving into the living room as if he owned the place.

  The unzipped hoodie failed to hide the tenseness in his posture; a death grip on the straps of his knapsack couldn’t prevent the trembling in his fingers. Attempts to obscure either would be useless, for worse was soon to come.

  The quiet unnerved him: Too much silence allowed his thoughts to wedge their way into reality, and tonight would serve as a crash course for exactly that.

  His host had surely heard him enter, yet Gaara could not help but raise his voice:

— “Deidara?”

   Deidara, despite having asked for this, was a little nervous himself. Gaara had warned him that this wound't be walk through the park nor an easy day but a long one filled with nerves and some kind of pain as the redhead had said something about always hurting someone when his bloodstream was empty of any toxins.

   He had heard the door open, having previously left it unlocked as he knew Gaara was coming. Even having been giving a time frame of when he would show up, the artist couldn't have helped checking his phone every thirty seconds to see if ten or fifteen minutes had passed by yet. Though each time he was let down, more often than not seeing the same blinding numbers twice before the changed.

   It was unusual for him to be so nervous, especially after saying that he wanted this. Deidara wanted to get to know the real Gaara, not the drug induced personal he'd been with these past months. He'd been warned but, as he usually does, he blew it all off, thinking he could handle whatever was so bad, if anything at all was, without difficulty. Still, even as his name rang out through the tiny house, despite the strange churning in his stomach and the loud rolling of metal against teeth, he put up a confident front and made his way from the small bedroom to the living area in search of Gaara.

   However, the cocky facade faltered at the sight of the usually stoic and cool appearance of Gaara having been reduced to that of a scared cat; shaking, very visibly even from across the room, with a somewhat unnerved, sick expression. Truth be told, the poor guy looked like he'd been hit by a bus on his way over.

   Stretching his lips into a full, wide grin, still very much wanting to be around this side of the redhead despite being a tad nervous, Deidara greeted him as though it would have been a normal day.

   "No trouble getting here, yeah?"

 Distaste.

                Disgust.

   Deidara wasn't fond of this man, whoever he was and with whatever he wanted. Instinct, the artist would call it. He was odd, he was always there, always wanting something, always trying to change or corner the blond.

    It was unsettling.

   And again, there he is, of course. Nose turned high, the freckles blending together as it scrunched up, Deidara shifted his weight, taking a cautious step back as the dark haired male approached him. Crystals danced across the larger figure, senses hyped, fingers twitching,  aching, to show him just how appreciated his presence and existence is. But something about this encounter was different.

   The concealed mouth didn't move, the lone onyx eye wasn't over laying Deidara as if he was some difficult, unsolvable puzzle. It was squinted the slightest bit, just enough for the artist to notice that something was off about the stranger.

   An outstretched hand, curious, almost gentle, was outstretched. Deidara's first thought was to get rid of it. Blow it off in a fiery explosion, break it, twist it until bone was visible and was of no use for as long as the man lived. Lips pulled back into a snarl, the pearls glittering brightly in the sunlight, his shoulder turning to guard, perhaps, from whatever this man was doing.

   And the attack, the dull pain, never came. A soft tug, yes, but no blindingly white pain, no words of conversion, were spitballed at him. A glance down told him his hair was being pulled though not painfully. The satin gold threaded between gloved hands softly, sweetly, and more or less confused the artist. This was new, this was not what he had been expecting. Stomach churning unpleasantly, hair on the back of his neck bristling, Deidara reeled back, taking the lock with him.

{☁}   "I don't know what game you're playing, what you're trying to do, but do not fucking touch me unless you want to be nothing more than ash under my feet, hm."
