Adam Lister, “Flowers in a Glass Vase” Watercolour on paper, Size: 40 x 50cm
i remember when wells took his first steps- i remember thinking “omg this is what pride feels like, i feel so proud of him.” it was a monumental feeling i experienced again when he started riding a bike by himself years later. this week wells has been reading small books (jon klassen and last night Frog and Toad) it was so hard for him! but he did it! i get so emotional and that feeling of pride kicks in and it’s heavy!

i’m in child and adolescent gender development and worked on my assignment while on my solo trip. maintained my sleep schedule (830-430) i finished 3 books!
-brave new world (finished while walking on beach and on my walk through hobbit trail)
-margo’s money troubles (finished on the plane and in airport)
-candelaria (read everywhere and one particular time at a hilltop cafe while eating steak salad and taking teeny bites of a huge lemon meringue pie
-started piranesi on the plane home
such an amazing trip
4/9/25
i turned 29!
it was a different sort of birthday bc i didn’t put so much expectation on it. it was so normal and still had little bits of specialness to it.
-jenna facetimed me in the morning
-i completed all my work on time and left early
-drank coffee and cleaned like CRAZY while listening to LISA album
-ran errands (ran to the bank, mailing tax amendment via post office, and…)
-ran to target for moisturizer and ran into evan! so cute!!
-ate bahn mis made by evan and finished the day off with puppy chow and spy kids
days i am nostalgic for:
watching cleaning/cooking youtube videos before bed
watching bee and puppycat drunk in the art room
watching cartoons on saturday mornings
i’m creating new memories, new neural pathways by reading before bed and after my bath, so this change is not bad, just different.
weekend mornings have been taken up by trying to either get extra sleep or finishing up my masters hw
