Shadow assignment
For my visual story assignment I used many different variations of visuals to show shadows and how they look on a dancer. I liked to use different angles and colors to show the different ways to look at shadows. I also used a good subject so that the pictures come out very well. Final Thoughts...
After reading the materials from this week it showed me a lot about how gender, race and politics are affected by social media.I realized how the online world can be so cruel. Especially with women, social media has been used to hurt many women emotionally, which causes a lifetime of damage. Not only that but with people who are different. I find it terribly sad how terrible people can be as they sit and hide behind a computer talking bad about people who did nothing to them. This strikes me as a huge issue in the world we live in today.In many of the readings there were parts that spoke about this issue. The article that really affected me was the one about “The Truth About Black Twitter”. This article was intense because it has gone viral and many people know about it. I learned how it is affecting all races and genders as well.
Overall, I what I learned most was that social media has changed the world. If there is something you need to be heard and you post and get retweets, you could change the world or at least influence it. I find that exciting and I think social media is a blessing and a curse, but it all depends on how you use it.
