Many people may have believed that the first sons of any crown automatically made them fortunate beings. After all, their life was already laid out with the promise of the crown and the luxuries that came with it. But if Umoria wanted to not only survive, but thrive, the spirits of the forrest had to pick a soul who was not only resilient, but empathetic as well. Not just lucky.
With the dawn's light was slowly flowing down to the forrest floor and bathing the newborn child in the golden glow. It appeared the spirits had named the child for him. Auro. The Golden Son of the Forrest. A rather gaudy title, but the prince did hold it near his heart.
After that, his life has only been different forms of grueling training. Etiquette. Education. Sparring. Magic. Culture. History. The Arts. Anything that was deemed necessary to be learned, was pushed onto the young prince. Fortunately for them, they did a good job of training the boy well when it came to obedience, because he never went against their wishes. Auro just followed their orders and pushed himself to the high standards many believed he needed to reach.
There was a brief moment where he did believe that having brothers would ease him of his burdens. However, as the prince got older, it became clear that the weight on his shoulders would never lighten. One was too sick to do so, and the other unwilling. Reaffirming the belief that he could only depend on himself.
Days would continue to pass and the people around him would change, but he would stay the same. They even got the fortune to age and become older all while he remained stuck in time. At first, Auro saw this as a curse. Damned to follow this unending cycle in the hopes of finally becoming king. It was not until he was disrespected by a foreign diplomat for being too "young" that something changed with him.
While it was not was not his intention, Auro was able to humble the stranger with the knowledge that he possessed despite the other's assumed seniority. And unlike the man he just humiliated, the prince was only going to grow more as a person. From there, he realized how much he can still do with this blessing.
He will change the world.
WANTED CONNECTIONS:
Apprentice/Student: Auro had spent the entirety of his life learning. And although he continues on his pursuit of knowledge, he thinks by teaching others, it applies the things that he has learned instead of it just being frivolous achievements. It can be something easy, or more of an intense relationship. Alternatively, if there's something that your character can teach, Auro may be willing to learn from them.
Suitors: As a crown prince, half of his duties is to find a proper mate and siring a child. Because of his age, he's been going at this for a while. So there can be history, first time introductions, bad initial impressions, or flings that are being kept secret for one reason or another. (Or, he's testing out suitors for his siblings hehe).
Old Friends: Fairly explanatory. Though, for someone who is always calm, collected, and never shows his ego, he will need someone he can depend on and trust enough to reveal the less than perfect sides to him. Additionally, there can be different nuances. Maybe they are more competitive than they appear with one another, only friends because of connections, etc.
Servants: This can be a personal guard or knight, staff at the castle, a noble who's become a gentleman in waiting for him. I don't know, I personally like this plotline and kind of had to put it here hehe.
