A princess day at their granddads' was definitely a great front for not having the girls around while Gabe was packing up his things and moving out of their home. Not wanting to be there for that, Jasper spent the day in the Ministry, which wasn't even at all weird given his position. But when the time to pick up the girls came around, he sighed as he made his way to his dads' place. Knowing they were going to come back to an empty house and having to explain that to the girls was not what he was looking for but it was something that needed to be done. They could pretend Gabe was out for business only for so long. "Abigail," he gave his daughter a look when she greeted him looking like a spider monster, not even wanting to entertain her antics. Thankfully though she quickly started changing back, as if she felt her dad wasn't in the mood for jokes. Thankfully, some time later everyone finally calmed down and all of the crises were averted - except for one. Jasper didn't have to use his Legilimency ability to know what Harry was about to ask - he knew his old man enough. "Nothing's going on,' he shrugged as he took the drink and took a sip of it. "Gabe and I are divorcing. Well, I'm divorcing him, to be exact," she finally admitted and looked at his father, shaking his head. "I don't wanna hear it, Dad. The decision's final."
Harry watched his son, somewhat having an idea of what he was going to say. He raised a hand in defense at Jasper's remark, not immediately commenting. Mostly because Poppy ran back up, waving around a discarded hair bow. "Did you forgive her, then?" Harry questioned, noticing Abi had followed behind her. Poppy shrugged a shoulder and Harry smirked, sliding it back into place in her dark curls. He kissed the side of his granddaughter's head, letting her run back off after the other. He waited until they were both out of earshot, before turning his attention back to his son. "Just because you don't want to hear it doesn't mean I'm not going to give it to you anyway. I'm your dad. It's my job." He walked over to sit with him. "Are you one hundred percent it's what's best? For you? Take the girls out of the equation for a second." His gaze momentarily fell back to where Poppy and Abi were, realization sliding into place when he watched the two girls. "Does it have to do with whatever had your brother worked up?" Harry finally questioned, turning back to look over at Jasper. He shook his head, "I don't have to know specifics. Quite frankly, I don't want to. There's stuff about your father I'd rather not know. Believe me." He paused. "More specifically things he did."
