Assessing the Effectiveness of Web Lectures: A Web Lecture on User Experience
The art of photography, painting, and even music in itself is being practiced all over the world. What many people don’t realize, however, is that art comes in many forms. One of which is a little thing called ‘UX’.
What is ‘UX’, you may ask?
‘UX’ stands for User Experience, or the overall experience of a person using a product such as a website or computer application, especially in terms of how easy or pleasing it is to use.
For this post, we will be assessing a web lecture that talks about User Experience from https://www.open2study.com.
In terms of the audio, we can definitely say that the speaker had a clear voice, with an equally clear pronunciation of words. The audio was also of high quality, without any distracting sounds. One small fault however, is that the speaker’s voice lacks emotion or enthusiasm, making the video seem a little boring.
For the visual aspect of it all, the notion of notes being written down while the speaker was talking makes the video easier to follow, as if it were actually done live in a classroom. The bright colors also caught our attention as viewers. One thing that can be improved, however, is the handwriting. Some letters are difficult to comprehend.
The objectives and content of the video were tackled in a very systematic way, with the topics just flowing out and connecting themselves accordingly. The speaker also managed to give real-life situations to make it even easier for the viewer to understand the topic.
Overall, the video lecture has room for improvement- such as the speaker’s enthusiasm, but it also does its job on delivering the topic to its audience.
