As most of you know by now:
Steven Universe has been placed onto a hiatus, ending on an unannounced date in September.
This means we’ll have all of August without a new Steven Universe episode.
So I figured I would take the liberty to come up with an idea to keep the fandom stirring with a fun event to bridge us to the new episode.
And the idea I came up with?
An entire month dedicated to the appreciation of Greg, Mr. Universe himself. An appreciation month for the man who without him, Steven wouldn’t be around. The human that touched the heart of a Gem, lives out of a van, cooperated with the Gems to build a house, and pays for all his sons expenses. The man deserves a bit of love, so let’s give him the chance.
(Reminder: This is in no way putting down other characters, or saying Greg is in any way more important than anyone of the rest of the main cast. I just felt like making a character appreciation event, and felt like he was an optimal choice. This is simply for fun.)
WITH THAT BEING SAID, and out of the way…I’ll answer a few questions some of you may have.
What is it that should be done for the event?
Fan Art, GIF Sets, Fanfictions, Edits, AMVs, etc. As long as it pertains to Greg Universe, it is accepted.
How do we submit our works?
One of two options, either submit it through our submit page. Or simply tag your post with the tag, #MOGD. If you submit your work, we’ll post it promptly. If you put it in the tag, we’ll reblog your post. Simple as that.
Can we submit NSFW works?
No, but feel free to make NSFW works to celebrate regardless. Just don’t submit them to us, as one of our admins is not fond of NSFW Steven Universe art, and it makes her uncomfortable so please, be respectful of that, which means no submitting anything NSFW.
When does this start? How long does it last for?
The event starts on the 10th of August (8/10/15) and runs until the 10th of September (9/10/15).
