A Reunion || Lightning & Snow
It took all of the blonds entire being to not burst forth laughing, at the sight of what he knew as the cold hearted ex-sergeant acting like a child. He knew she had warm spots within her, but those sights were usually reserved for her sister. He would believe that this was more of a result from her exhaustion than a show of affection towards him, but he appreciated it nonetheless.
However, the food was ready and she needed to get her strength. “Yo, sleepyhead. If you’re not waking, I’m eating your share too. you can cook your own meal then.” he gave her a few soft nudges before picking up his plate and digging in with gusto. He hadn’t realized how hungry he had become, having not ate in a day or two, instead consuming nothing but alcohol.
". . Wh-"
That very hoarse voice spoke for the second time that brought the commando out of her sleepy state, as hues flicker, opening to see the blonde beside already chewing down his first set of curry rice.
The smell, ever familiar yet nostalgic, caused her stomach to growl in loud unison, bringing another hint of red coloring those pale cheeks she had. Only blushing, did Lightning picked it up weakly, taking the very first bite of such savory goodness.
". . Appreciated.," was all she could comprehend, taking one bite after the other. Wanting to just chow down straight away, but strength did not let her do so. Instead, slowly raising it to her own mouth, and taking every inch of bite she could comprehend. Delicious, this was just too good. Funny, how Valhalla does not give a system of digestion as time stood still, able to allow the champion fighting on without much obstruction, but this had proven she'd no longer be needed to tie down to such a fate. No longer.
