In the southern United States, everything has gone horribly wrong. Insect-like "devils" began taking people from their homes. Every now and then, "angels" descend from the sky to help.
Maverick has to deal with the consequences of a choice he wasn't a part of.
He will have to deal with beings we were never supposed to meet. He will have to deal with things no human should ever see.
Maverick is his own last hope.
And God, does he wish it was anyone but him.
The world is ending. There’s aliens, incredibly messed up science, and body horror that has underlying trans themes. Maverick wants this all to stop, for once, and Haziel wants this all to matter.
