Sometimes I wish that I just touched your lips with mine. i wish that every smile you gave (when you didn’t care what other people thought) - I memorised. Your arrogance still consumes you because you have never been unwanted. You fuel my ambition I suppose. To be loved? I miss the times that you were free to flirt because no one knew of our connection. I miss the way you used to look at me as if I was crazily magnificent. I miss your smile: honestly. I suppose you do love them- and that’s okay.

i think...

i think that sometimes it’s easy to become consumed by what everyone else is doing around me. So natural when I compare my insecurities to other people’s assets. Even more natural to compare my assets to other people’s insecurities. I listen to the Be Free (J Cole Cover) by Eden Shibeshi in hope that my range can beat hers. I listen to Frank- in hope to be as cool as him. Watch Beyoncé time after time after time- Aretha, James B, Paolo, Al Green, Adele, Winehouse cbascslichsachchacscac.

I think I'm scared of failure. Always trying to improve myself to this target of perfection that I can never realistically meet. I am so critical of everything I sing and write- that I am scared to do it- incase people don't like it. I am stopping everything I am- because I care what other people think..... so......

Fuck them. Fuck insecurities.

I suppose sometimes it’s okay to just go with whatever’s happening at the time. No overthinking. When I think too much into things I find myself lost in hope for whatever else i decide to do. So..... by simply focusing on the now-worrying about the future when it comes to it- I have nothing to set me back. 

I will be a voice that you understand....
