So, as this is my pinned message, I guess it'll be good to edit this into an intro of sorts to myself. First points would be that I'm a fanfic writer, that I've written for and am interested in the fandoms tagged on this post and that I'm a queer person, a trans woman. Hi, internet people.
I've never been good at intros. I'll surely be polishing this up further at points when I think of details to add.
One of my main reasons for being on this site? I want to figure out how to get engaged with others in particular fandoms, in a way that lets me start a feedback loop regarding my fanfics and writing interests. I want to connect to people who'd either be interested in my writing, the stuff I write about and the things that result in me making fics for different fandoms. To get to talk about the source material often enough, to get ideas and feedback on my ideas, etc. Well, that actually makes the engagement I want very specific, doesn't it? It means finding people who both like particular fandoms and who like my particular writing for those fandoms. That can be linked to a broader issue with finding people you want to connect to in a particular fandom. There's a good chance you'll want more from another person than "like's the same thing" in practice. It's common to like a work in different ways, after all.
If you do like anything I've made, please let me know. Also, anything that reminds me that people like my creations or want more of this or that story is also highly appreciated. Please do that, if you want to.
Anyway, think I'll stick some fandom related tags to see if this hits anyone with an interest in reading my fics for those certain fandoms on my linked ao3 account, to maybe get them to give my stuff a quick glance and perhaps give feedback. Or just decide they want to talk about those fandoms, or share their own fandom works. It's something I can do right now. Just chatting is good and I'll be happy to reblog links to other people's fics and creations.
The fandom tags for this? If you're into those, we share that much in common. I'm open to following you, checking out anything you make for them or asking questions about them as ice breakers/mutual interest in those works.
