SONIC AU COLLISION: ABOUT

Hello and welcome to Sonic AU Collision! A place where worlds collide as we face off in an epic showdown, while also coming together as a fandom to share and uplift the creativity put into each and every AU.

RULES & GUIDELINES

RULES:

Only one submission per person.

Your AU must be derived from Sonic The Hedgehog in some way.

Only submit an AU that belongs to you. If an AU belongs to multiple creators, you must be one of them. Do not submit someone else's AU.

An image and description of your AU is required. (More info on this can be found below in the guidelines).

If you are submitting a logo, it must be transparent.

This event is for fans of all ages. NSFW content is not permitted here. If your blog has anything unsuitable for minors, please be sure it has the necessary tags and warnings.

Bigotry of any form will not be tolerated

Do not send any hate towards the AUs and/or the creators. If you are found doing this, and are one of the participating creators, you will be disqualified.

If you spot anything of concern, please don't hesitate to DM me so we can discuss the issue privately.

GUIDELINES:

Submissions will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis

However, if there is something of concern with your submission and/or your content. (Ex. logo image is not transparent, restricted permissions--trouble accessing files, violation of rules, etc.) Your submission may be skipped. Please be sure you read the rules and instructions carefully. If there are still slots available and I have the time, only then will you reached out to for any adjustments if needed.

As stated before, an image will be required to enter. Both tradition and digital art is accepted. Skill level does not matter. Your AU art can have a background, this does not need to be transparent.

It is highly encouraged that your image is on a canvas/cropped to 1000px to 1000px. Otherwise, elements of your art piece may end up getting cut out and/or have the quality reduced.

You can use another artist's work with permission. As long as it is art of your AU and you provide the proper credits.

There will be an option to submit a logo for your AU if you have one, but it is not required. If you do submit a logo, the background must be transparent!

There will also be an option to include a link of your AU's masterpost or start of a comic series if you have one. Again, this is not required to participate. If you do include a link, please make sure it falls within the rules and has the proper warnings and tags if necessary.

Anyone can make propaganda of any AU in the showdown, whether or not they're participating themselves. We're here to uplift others, so go on and make propaganda to cheer everyone on! All propaganda will be reblogged as long as you tag this blog @sonic-au-collision

Freaks AU-

It’s a supernatural AU in which Sonic gets bit by a werebeast, turning into one himself. He lives in an abandoned attic along with Silver, life long best friends, who is a recently turned vampire, and also Tails Doll, possessed by Tails’ soul.

Once he learns how to control his other half, Sonic has the ability to shift or partially shift at will, although it’s harder on New Moons, and easier on Full Moons. They also got Super Full Moons, in which they go completly feral and bloodthirsty, and Super New Moons, where a werebeast go into a hibernation state.

Infested AU-

Sonic, under the influence of a mysterious alien brain parasite, has become unpredictable and very, very dangerous. While all his powers remain the same, he now uses his speed to maim and kill anyone who moves. Sonic’s mental state has devolved to basic instinct, and, thanks to the parasite, he is in a near-constant state of feeling like a wild animal trapped in a corner. As a result, he will call upon impossible strength, reserved only for life-or-death scenarios. Pray you don’t catch his attention. You can’t outrun the fastest thing alive.

Tachophobia AU-

Personality: Nikolai "Niko" Peterson is a very anxious and timid lad, very much a people pleaser with a hard time chosing things for himself. He's also extremely afraid of "relapsing" into his "delusions" of being Sonic, and has severe tachophobia (fear of speed/going fast) because of that. He also stutters a lot.

Backstory: The general gist of the AU is that Starline survived IDW issue 50, and managed to kidnap Sonic and heavily brainwash him via hypnosis into thinking he's no longer himself and that he was delusional about being the hero Sonic the Hedgehog. It's an extremely messed-up AU but by golly have we gotten a lot of mileage out of it.

Powers: He still has Sonic's natural speed and chaos abilities, but not only is he afraid of going fast now, he's also been given inhibitors that repress his abilities. He is entirely unaware of all these abilities…he is good at drawing, though! :D

Starry AU-

In this world eggman left for the stars after sonic messed him up the first time in his absence GUN took the position of the worlds villains using the misguided mindset of "gotta control everyone, it's the only way to keep them safe"

His personality is basically if you take Sonic’s main personality traits and dial them up to 10. He’s completely uncontrollable, always searching for thrill, impulsive, but has a heart of gold. He doesn’t take most situations seriously, but when a line is crossed he’ll show that he’s actually very perceptive. he has a fear of tight constraining spaces, water and a abnormal, persistent, irrational fear of failure.

Chimera Baby "Mira":

Chimera Baby is a chimera (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chimera_(genetics)) and the oldest child of Sonic and Shadow. Mira was raised in the Chao Garden where she ate fruit and engaged in frequent karate matches and races and was very happy. As a young child she was very sweet and loving to her fathers but as she got older she has begun to experience latent Black Arms patricidal urges (exclusively towards Shadow).

Mira is the slowest in her family (but faster than you!), but has a very strong connection to chaos energy making her quite the powerhouse. However, she still has a long ways to go before she can actually hope to defeat Shadow. In her teen years Mira has become somewhat of a delinquent, speaking very little and preferring to get her messages across through action alone. She is the older sister of Mochi, who often acts as a mediator whenever she randomly tries to attack Shadow in the Costco.

Squabble the Pigeon:

incredibly cheerful untrained pilot and mechanic for a trio of freelance postal workers/hitman. LOVES airplanes and explosives and tinkering and package delivery, is a chronic pipe bomb maker, and has a boundless joie de vivre. she operates on cartoon physics, and has a messenger bag that functions as a hammerspace where she keeps her exposives, revolver, second identical revolver that pops a flag, bazooka, and everything else including the kitchen sink. incredibly cheerful and completely lacking in common sense or a coherent moral compass. about twelve, and on the short side.
