Let Me See You Stripped | Izzy and Freddy
isidore-blackburn:
Their hearts were beating as one. Where it had just been Izzyâs heartbeat echoing in his ears a few moments ago, now their hearts slammed in the same time, fast, eager, a little scared. They had no idea what was going to happen next. They had no idea what the future held for them. Isidore was out now, honorably discharged after everything that heâd seen and done. He wouldnât be going back to the army now, or ever. If he was being honest, he didnât want back in. He wanted to stay here, stay in Freddyâs arms.
The tears made his chest ache, but his own were soon overflowing, and a laugh escaped him. Everything about Freddy made his chest hurt, and in the moments before Freddyâs lips claimed his again, it seemed as if time slowed down. He couldnât help thinking of heat week, the way their lips had met, the desperate need heâd felt in the wake of seeing Freddy again. But it wasnât the heat that had caused his desperation.
No, it had always been Freddy.
His thoughts drifted to Austin, as time continued to drag on and on and on, in the moments between his heartbeat and Freddyâs lips claiming his. Heâd thought that Freddy had moved on, when heâd heard about the two of them again. Heâd thought that heâd lost his chances with the other man. But now, here they were, and time sped back up as Izzy surged forward to claim Freddyâs lips. His arms wrapped around the other betaâs neck, and he pressed him back into the couch with the force of his body. He needed this, he needed Freddy, and their feelings had finally come to the surface.
Freddy loved him. Freddy only loved him. Freddy had only ever loved him.
A desperate whine caught in the betaâs throat, and he felt a sob catching in his throat. âI love you, I love you,â he gasped out against Freddyâs mouth, hands sliding up into Freddyâs hair. âGood fuck I love you-â
Christ, how had they been so stupid to ignore all of this for so long. It was like the world was now cracked open with their admissions, and the freedom of it was overwhelming. Izzy was all that mattered, all that ever mattered, even before. And now with the former soldier pressing him into the couch, there was nothing sweeter than the taste of his tear-salted lips and the sound of his voice.
Freddy almost choked on his own emotions, short sobs of relief filling the gaps between their heated contact. âI love you too,â he murmured against swollen lips, grinning wildly as his hands moved to wrap arms around Izzyâs back, holding him close. âNever leave,â he said, mouth moving to kiss along the sharp edge of Izzyâs jaw, breathing in his scent and squeezing him tight. It was done now, there was no going back from this and Freddy couldnât be more relieved.
The hurried kiss had somehow melted into a desperate hug, Freddyâs nose now nestled into the crook of Izzyâs neck below his ear. The moment felt surreal, like a vivid memory that seemed too frantic to be real. But the scent of the other beta filled his lungs, the locks of Izzyâs hair tickled his cheeks, and the sound of his steady breathing and beating heart filled in the gaps of what he had missed for so long. âYouâre really back,â he whispered, âI got you back,â he said, eyes squeezing shut to release the rest of the tears that had gathered with the thought of Izzy still being in the hospital only a year prior. Things werenât the same for so long, Freddy had began to think they would never go back. But now here they were, their lives bouncing back even further from where they used to stand, landing them here in the solid territory of something more than they dared to ask for.
