They’d gotten used to the important guys in their life up and disappearing. This was…the last thing they expected. Now, with Egill just on the other side of the screen, Wes could hardly keep themself from collapsing.
He rubbed her back gently as he had done many times before, all the while keeping the humming up. Surprised at the question, Egill stops humming and looks up at Wes. “You mean… it’s okay for me to stay around? Won’t I be in the way…?”
“Well, if ya haven’t got anywhere else t’go, I couldn’t kick ya out. Memory or not, I still need ya ‘round.” Wes brought their knees up to their chest, “I guess uhm… I’ll set up a spot on the couch ‘till I can move Danny to my room. Sorry for that.”
“Thank you so much, Wes. I will do what ever you need me to around here.” The beta glances at them. “Don’t worry about moving her things. I can crash in here.” He was also hoping he would get his memory back sooner rather than later.
