With the success that season 3 seems to be having? I doubt it.

AMC will get even more involved in a season 4, And Rolin will have to fight to get what he wants, just like he did for season 3

Why do you doubt it? Do you have a logic that makes you think they will double down on being more restrictive and cheaper you can share?

There is lots of shows making $$ with enthusiastic audiences will make them feel more confident with taboo themes over time. True Blood is one that comes to mind.

I couldn't agree more with what Sam is saying in this interview, and I think many others will feel the same way.

I hope I transcribed his words accurately and captured the audio correctly. English isn't my first language, so I did my best and hope I got it right. What he says here is very meaningful to me. That's why I still stand by the position I held at the beginning of the month, and ever since this whole counter-narrative began.

Take a moment to listen carefully and read these words again. And I think our anonymous friend NSW anon might agree with me on this one too... right?

Can someone provide a link to Jacob talking about episode 6? I’ve heard people say it’s his favorite episode and I do not recall him actually saying that.

I think what's disappointing as a loustater, Episode 6 is loustat heavy ,and that's Jacob's favorite, and episode 4 that Sam fav, is the Armand Lestat/ scene 😭😭

lol I care less about sex scenes this season. Why? Because Lestat has sex for “fun,” obligation, and expectation. That’s not what I want for him with Louis. He LOVES Louis. I can wait for healing and lovemaking 🥰 With that, I am glad Jacob is the president of Club Loustat (Oh! I should change this blog to that name. ha ha ha What do you guys think?).

As for Ep 4… low-key, I think that Sam is so into this dynamic because he appreciates that Lestat and Armand really are like siblings with the same kinds of issues. I think Sam wants Lestat to be redeemed (from Armand’s S2 fanfiction). Armand played a huge part in the demise of Nicky and Claudia— which were both serious life-changing events in his young vampire life. Low-key, I think the love hate between Lestat and Armand helps us to understand why it is that Lestat “allowed Louis to go off with him”. Sam also said about episode four that he felt it was very satisfying result… 👀 and that fans would feel like they were finally getting the resolution they “didn’t know they needed.” So I’m hoping that the episode will really address the trial as well and why it is that Lestat hasn’t permanently written off Armand or tried to get vengeance against Armand.

I feel so stupid and embarrassed about my post right now. I lumped everyone together, even Lestat's abusers, without considering how it would come across. I'm really sorry for what I said, I didn't think it could be hurtful to anyone. In my defense, my post was born out of frustration and sadness over how distant Lestat and Louis have become. I just wanted to vent my disappointment, but instead of expressing my thoughts more clearly I took a mental shortcut, which is completely unacceptable in this case.

OP: Wow, I REALLY appreciate this mea culpa. I can see that you really took the feedback to heart and clarified that the lens through which you commented was too limited. 🫂 We all make mistakes.

I never really paid attention to it before, but now I'm curious: do people ship Assad and Luke together, just like Jam?

Nope. My take on why:

1. Jam’s chemistry, both on and offscreen is so insane everyone who met them commented on it for YEARS.

2. Assad and Luke hang out off-time, they absolutely post pictures showing that they hang out. I suspect one great benefit of all the hanging out they do is that their chemistry on screen is gonna be amazing. Even better this round. that said, we’ve only had one real scene of chemistry between the two of them in season two episode five. It’s possible that if we get more screen time with the two of them (and it is coming), there might be more people who will ship them… and yet, I can’t imagine it’s going to garner the kind of reaction that Jam has (see point #1 lol)

I talked a bit about this earlier. but I think Jacob is sorry that Louis hasn’t really grown as much as he wishes… but let’s be honest, neither has Lestat. 😅This is gonna be an arc that takes multiple seasons to resolve. It reminds me of a quote that Sam said at SDCC last year: “You can’t get everything you want when you want it.”

Everybody knows that if Jacob and Sam had their way, and the show would have a loving Loustat relationship, people would be bored and wouldn’t check in (not to mention that that’s not how the books go lol). Drama sells people, and folks have bills to pay lol

Sidenote: We already know there are plenty of things that they wanted to do that they couldn’t because of restrictions from “the man.” My take? Rolin, Sam, and Jacob especially, are distancing themselves from what they know are going to be less popular decisions the fans will be upset about… because it wasn’t 100% up to them. there was a bit more corporate control this round. I think AMC will allow them to take more risk in S4, if this works.
