        – - Honestly, Munakata hadn’t exactly been a fan of the plan, even though he’d devised it himself: it put Fushimi directly in potential harm’s way, and of course he hated that. His own safety didn’t really matter to him, but if Fushimi had been slain… Well, the worst possible outcome would have been if Fushimi had died and Munakata had lived. But thankfully they’d both survived, and while Munakata… Had somewhat mixed feelings towards that, if he were being honest, at the same time he was more than happy to be able to see Fushimi again. It would give him the chance to apologize for his harsh words when they’d ‘fought’, even if Fushimi didn’t forgive him. Whether he was forgiven or not was irrelevant, mostly - he just wanted Fushimi to know he hadn’t meant them.

    He walked Fushimi in relative quiet over to the medical van, supporting him and nodding gently when Fushimi mentioned the blood. “I know. I’ll tend to it, don’t worry.” He already knows Fushimi is trying to downplay it, too… Judging by the size of the wound - or at least the rip in Fushimi’s pants - Munakata’s pretty sure it was a knife, possibly one of Fushimi’s own. 

    He sat Fushimi down, reaching for his belt before pausing. “… Can you take them off? I need to get at the wound.” He just wasn’t sure if Fushimi would object to Munakata himself removing them at the moment. Obviously he wasn’t saying ‘get naked’, just get those jeans out of the way; he could tell Fushimi wasn’t feeling the best, and he wanted to tend to the injury ASAP.

Fushimi found the plan interesting since it was a different kind of job and one that broke his recent boredom quite nicely. Even though it did mean his life was on the line and everyone he knew hating him more than they did already within the rekindled reds. And those among the blues lost in their questions and perhaps gaining even a little bit of hatred in their own way also. Not that any of it really mattered, he offered his life on a whim to Munakata for the sake of this stupid country but for Munakata it was worth it. Perhaps his devotion was now obvious to everyone with just how far he was willing to go if ordered to by the blue King, but let everyone else have their opinions. Fushimi was grateful to have been given this assignment, knowing full well how his supposed partner put him directly in the firing line. Now that was something they needed to sort out. Without talking even after their half staged fight it could be doubtable what their personal labels were anymore and if they were able to rebuild their relationship after this. 

The silence between them was surprisingly comfortable for the walking wounded, he spent the time focusing on remaining upright and even let out groan of strained relief at being able to sit down again. It was rather unconcerning that Munakata was the one to offer first aid, any aid was better than bleeding out as he was. Yet when the older blue paused in his helping, Fushimi frowned a little, he understood what that question was for and part of him was indeed grateful for the show of respect but now wasn’t the time for that. 

“Does it look like I can stand up long enough?” his head was hurting, his body ached and all he wanted was it to all just piss off. It may not have sounded like permission but it was, Fushimi gave his consent to have clothing removed if it meant getting the first aid he was in desperate need for. 

Scorpios get madder at themselves when they show signs of weakness in an environment or situation that really didn’t call for it.

     “You know, Fushimi-kun… I’m getting the feeling that you’re speaking more specifically than generally here – am I right?”

    He smiled at the younger man playfully, knowing full well that his biting remark had been aimed at HOMRA. He didn’t mind. It wasn’t an insult born of ignorance, after all – Saruhiko had experienced the red clan for himself so if he thought they were childish – he had his right to that opinion.

Great. Anna was in one of those moods again. Without saying another word he escorted her back to the dorms but knew he couldn’t exactly help improve her mood once they got back, since he obviously wasn’t allowed within the women’s dorms either. Spotting a little cafe he grabbed her bag to stop her from walking off, as she tended to do after having a bad day at school, even though she hated when he did it, not that he’d stop that habit either. 

“I’ll get you cake” a soft statement as he pointed to the little building in mind. Well not just cake, at this point he’d get her anything she wanted just to settle her mood down a little bit.

Fushimi quite happily ate in silence, enjoying what was made for him and it even helped distract him from the pain he was feeling. Luckily he managed to put his plate to the side once he was finished with little effort but once he heard those words, ones he never thought he’d hear, a little blush tinted his cheeks and he turned within this lap to offer a soft embrace. Those three simple words were like music to his ears, they offered complete comfort, but as he pressed his face into the little crease of his lover’s neck, he suddenly felt afraid. Fushimi loved his man dearly but he couldn’t say it back, almost like if this was a dream, it would fade if he expressed his true feelings. He never once said those three words before and being presented with the possibility of finally getting to say it, it actually scared him. “You too” it sounded weak, pathetic and part of his scared tone even presented itself without him wanting it too, yet he hoped his message would be obvious, he couldn’t put any of his insecurities into words, it would hurt too much. But the thought of hurting Munakata’s feelings cut him much deeper than his own weaknesses did.

        – - In the end, Munakata had survived. How strange a feeling it was - it wasn’t as if he wasn’t happy about it, mind you, it was just… Unexpected. And perhaps a little unfair. But ah, now wasn’t the time for such thoughts - Fushimi had returned, brought back by that paid ninja, though he knew that annoying Red brat had played a part in it as well. Not that Munakata would thank Yata for his involvement, of course; he’d only even gone in because Munakata had told him Fushimi might die if he didn’t. Yes, Munakata had hired Douhan, but he wasn’t sure she’d be there in time, and so it was helpful for Yata to be there, but still undeserving of praise.

    If Fushimi had voiced that he was surprised about Munakata having his back, though… Well, that would hurt. Yes, they’d said a bit more than they probably should have to one another - both of them, though Munakata knew he’d been the more cruel of the two and wouldn’t shy away from that - but that didn’t mean Munakata didn’t still care.

    As such, once Fushimi spoke to him, he smiled approvingly and in relief at him. He honestly wasn’t sure he’d ever get to see Fushimi again, but here they were. Even if he knew they had some talking to do. “Well done, Fushimi-kun.”

      “… Now let’s tend to that injury of yours, shall we? I’ll come with you.” An excuse for them to get out from under everyone’s watchful gaze; they needed to talk, and he knew neither one of them particularly wanted to do it in front of everyone else. He offered an am for Fushimi to take if he needed help walking, though he knew Fushimi would probably be stubborn and ignore it.

Fushimi was relieved they both lived. The last time they saw each other they were both convinced one of them was going to die, or both of them and the younger was more than ready to have his life cut short but as luck would have it they both lived. However now it meant they had wounds to tend to, both physical and emotional.

Normally he would ignore the offered help to walk but for once he put his pride to the side and accepted the assistance with no complaints. His leg needed first aid if not more than that and he couldn’t put any weight on it at all. At least he was separate from the ninja now and hanging off her or Misaki was far more embarrassing to him than seeking assistance from the blue King. Wait, King’s didn’t exist officially anymore but either way all the blue clan was here and they all still served this man even now he was stripped of all his titles. At first he didn’t like the feeling of Munakata touching him or helping him stand but that settled within seconds and already Fushimi loved having him so close. If others weren’t around he might have even forced himself to move into an embrace but he decided that was best left until they were alone, that and they probably needed to stop his leg from bleeding before he passed out.

“It’s bleeding” he didn’t want to say why or how he had gotten this injury but he would admit its worse than he was showing to others around him. Already he was starting to feel dizzy and all he wanted to do was sit down now, even with this assistance walking it was getting harder and harder the more he tried to move on his own.
