Based on this post by darling Page <3 I took it as an excuse to doodle my Chapter two puppets with some of the crackships mentioned, what happened to the dragon? he's fine. Don't bother.
Now, what are my opinions and thoughts for each one !!
MourningDove | The Angel x The Lover
You had me at the word queerplatonic GUYS HAVE I EVER TOLD YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE QUEERPLATONIC DYNAMICS💖THEY'RE SO UNDERRATED IT MAKES ME INSANE.
Even if they weren't to be a couple, I imagine they could be decent friends or acquaintances. The Angel likely knows of the Lover's plight, and while there is no power that they know of that can bring his beloved back, they can still offer their company. Even if they are silent. I partially like to jokingly compare the Angel to some form of a service dog GIGGLES, because while strange and eerie they look - Their presence still brings comfort to many and come on look at them, that's the best sleep in your life waiting to happen 🥺LHLH
I think.. the troubling part is how they're both mute. And Vivi can't exactly read or write. So communication is definitely a struggle. But if The Lover permits it so, The Angel gladly offers themself as a physical anchor. The weight of grief can feel lighter when you're not alone.
Also, I KNOW THE ANGEL LOOKS REALLY CRAZY BECAUSE HOW DID THAT LOOK LIKE THAT AND HEAR ME OUT ‼‼ there's no hear me out WHAGHSHG, admittedly Im still torn when it comes to the Angel's design and it's a tad hard to explain. The Angel's puppet body has almost been all removed, partially due to their constant growth support. Usually, this was handled fine when the theatre had human handlers and King Crownus to remedy this, but as the kingdom rots and remains stagnant - The Angel sadly outgrew their vessel. And it's also partially tied to their ability. Don't believe how elegant they look, they are VERY slimey.
I changed a few things as well like their halo, and as you notice, it is now broken off !! THIS ISN'T TO SAY THIS IS HOW THEY PERMANENTLY LOOK, Like I said, it's partially tied to their ability and The Angel is incredibly elusive and distant despite their lingering presence. No joke guys I'm opening myself up to The Angel, and since I love religious themes, I'm slapping so much of it to them.
I chose the name MourningDove since it felt fitting for both of them. Dove in reference to the Angel naturally, and Mourning for the Lover. It's difficult to say if The Angel would ever want a romantic relationship, a theme I want to explore with The Angel is the idea of puppets who don't see themselves as individuals but rather constructs or concepts for a bigger picture. I don't give them a name, because they were never given one. They don't have an identity of their own outside of their role, and The Angel's story would revolve of their discovery and pursuit of it.
GENUINELY THINK ABOUT IT how many puppets would go fucking crazy because they bound themselves too much to their role that they don't perceive themselves as actual beings with thoughts and emotions? Yeah 🥀
ALSO NOT SURE IF ANYONE WOULD NOTICE - but I tried really hard to make it look like The Angel was smiling at least, ironically its not too easy to tell which I found fitting - Their mask hides them. Also another pain I didnt share, I HAD TO ERASE A LOT OF VIVIS HAIR NOO 💔Fun fact! I made The Angel's jewelry thingy to look like that since it'd look like rosary beads <3
BloodHound | The Medic x The Beast Master
This one's rough. Is there even anything romantic about it? Likely not. Being honest, do not believe it as "love" if its The Medic or The Damsel, because at most it’s just Obsession at it's worst. Frankly, beast should've just gone to Hale and the other healers for the damn routine inspection 💔It's my advice for any puppet really, because it's anything but pleasant when the Medic does it for you.
At most for their relationship I can easily sum it to Tormentor and the tormented, but do keep in mind these are very bare bones and surface level assumptions and conclusions since these are just crackships and they all haven’t officially met yet.
But The Medic is an incredibly apathetic, sadistic and cruel person. This isn’t to say he doesn’t do his job, because he does do the nitty gritty of inspecting and healing you!
The problem is the fact he’s gonna have a little fun with you before any of that. The kind of puppet that will poke and prod and taunt you while you’re bound and high out of your mind due to his ability. He probably finds Beast funny, and finds it fun that he managed to get his hands on him. It’s nice to see an old face! (Not really.)
I shared as well that The Medic likely knew him when the kingdom was still under Crownus’ reign. So you can imagine the taunting gets worse because Medic probably knew the beast personally. Too many time’s he’d grab at his chin and shake his head silly as if he was an actual dog, this is why I say humiliating as well. The taunts can be light pokes or just plain insults and torment when he tells Beast that dogs should bark.
Despite what the picture says, Medic doesn’t hurt beast or patients too bad. At most parts of your body and head aching while Medic tells them of his conclusion and diagnosis. But he’s probably unserious in that regard as well, the point of these routine inspections anyway is to get a head count of the puppets in the kingdom so that it can be reported to Jestyn, and to monitor the state or quality their bodies are in. If the puppets is hurt, the healer will do what they can to help, but if they’re alive, that’s good! This is to prevent anyone from dying and at least know of their existence. Pardon for the bad explenation, I’m partially sleepy.
TLDR: He’s an asshole, roughs you up a bit, slaps a bandaid and tells you you’re good. Horrible doctor tee bee aych.
I chose Bloodhound since well,, blood for medic, hound for beast. I find The Medic incredibly hard to romance sadly, there’s very little wiggle room for MC or Puppets to take to get in Medic’s good healthy graces. Ironically, I managed to find Medic x Damsel to function well because they share two common factors that allows them to open up to each other.
That aside, this isn’t to say he’s like this for no reason </3 As mentioned prior, The Medic’s cycled through two other roles before being ‘The Medic’, his former role being the Bounty hunter under King Crownus. A job he found great pride in compared to being a Medic, since at least then he didn’t have to worry about making sure his targets were alive.
His first ever role is one he guards very well. For his ability, I’ll save that for another time too! But it’s pretty brutal and makes his job easier to capture or catch puppets and humans offguard. A lot of his character is inspired by a mix of Reze from chainsaw man and The summer hikaru died 💖 so take that as you will.
Truthfully, there’s a lot of him I’m excited to unveil since there’s a,,, evolution to his design. He utilizes a lot of himself well, being as clever and brutal as The Vigilante. Would it be unsurprising to say that they both know each other? And not in a good way? Yeah! I do love his eyes <3 I find his face his strong suit!
FalseColors | The Damsel x The Painter
I don’t have the greatest grasp on The Painter’s character, but my own concrete conclusion between him and the damsel is it’s tolerable at best and concerning at worst. Truly depends on the Painter’s capacity in acknowledging the damsel’s red flags and troubles.
But at most, I just imagine The Damsel would make painting very hard with how he’d attach himself like a leech to Chromo WAHAHHA But page is accurate in that regard of him allowing Chromo to draw him. Though, it’d surprised the damsel a bit. He’d do it moreso to spend time and get Chromo’s attention than wanting his own portrait or to stroke his own ego.
I’d want to go more in depth but it’s hard to tell if the Painter would care about the court’s rumors towards the Damsel or his other worrying behaviors that I can see them being relatively tame because of it if Painter doesn’t have any objections. And if the damsel is being behaved, THAT is a moment you need to cherish.
Otherwise, Painter strikes me as the type of person to shrug and tell Damsel to go back to sleep when he wakes up to see him watching him sleep. Which I find funny WHAHAHA. Damsel could drag a corpse to his room and who knows Painter’s just scolding him to not make a mess LHLH Though do correct me Page if this is inaccurate!!
I compare a lot of Damsel’s character akin to Yuno Gasai from Future Diary, Nikki from Obsession and Luka from Alien stage. Mostly in how creepy he could be. Reminder again, The Damsel’s character is my exploration towards the idea of a puppet stealing another puppet’s role. The damsel you see now is NOT the original damsel, but someone that stole her role.
I chose FalseColors since it’s a good mix of both of them <3 Colors in reference to the Painter’s sight and wish of painting the world, and Damsel’s false identity. This part may be short so I apologize if this disappoints someone TT I don’t have much material to work with here. Truthfully, I was tempted to name the Ship Impressionism in reference to the art style. But decided against it </3

Sleeping Beauty | The Scholar x The Damsel - Easy kidnap tee bee Aych LHLH The Damsel doesn't have to fret too hard when it comes to keeping the Scholar. I find them cute in the sense where Damsel brushes strands of hair away from her face while she sleeps and he watches. WARNING!! But I think I did warn before that there are Chances for my OC's to be incredibly dark, and one way I can see it is Damsel being too touchy for his own good and potentially undressing Scholar in her sleep. I don't think it goes beyond that, but still, creepy 🥀
BloodStain | The Medic x The Painter - Not Romantic in any sense of the words but they could probably mildly get along! In a creepy acquaintences kind of way WAHAWHAWH I think Medic would take it as a challenge to make his treatments worse for each time The Painter is happy to see him. Who knows, maybe the painter can have Medic ease up on him a little. Also I may need a better name idea Bloodstain sounds like its related to periods WAHAWHAGHHSG
PaperDragon | The Dragon x The Painter - Not good Not good Painter gets smashed into a wall and yelled at to leave. NOBODY is meant to be in the dragon's chambers, just like the Interloper. Any 'visitor' to the dragon is an intruder he thinks is trying to kill him. And even then, he's not eager for any new faces.
I literally didn't even bother with dragon, I gave up, lost hope and will finish it another time. I hate drawing men so difficult to draw. My thought process was hopefully drawing each of Page's characters with my own so everyone has equal spotlight otherwise it's gonna be Painter and the damsel, and Painter and the dragon two times 💔
MMM for the dragon, I'm at least happy with the side profile but the hair is what I trouble myself with grumbles. Also his anatomy. He's meant to be very built considering his past role, so hopefully I'll finish it another time 🥀 Compared to his Sister, if Scholar found her way to sleep there in the dungeon somehow, the Dragon is carrying her the hell out.
