Soooo... In my au, sooner or later, all individuals who have left their mark on the people's memory acquire an animal that would be associated with their image in culture.
Bernadette is closely associated with the end dragon for me. Even as a ruler, she was both a protector and a destroyer. To her people she was a hero, to outsiders she was a ruthless villain. You can't draw conclusions until you know her full story, hidden behind the rumors. If you know Jean's story, you can understand how much she has in common with Bernadette, who will become her killer. Plus Bernadette was once the one who allowed the legends to form in her a false impression of who fell by her sword, and after that she became more attentive to details, trying to understand the whole picture first. It was she who began to tell the truth about the dragon, which helped the image of this creature take on the appearance of not a tyrant, but a tough but fair protector.
For Yujin I chose the "unicorn". Unicorns don't even exist on Bedrock, but legends about them appeared after the first war between humans and piglins. Shooting a horse straight in the head was considered the highest degree of humiliation of an enemy among piglins. The image of a horse killed in war gradually transformed from a symbol of tragedy into a symbol of an unattainable dream when it took on the form of a magical unicorn. The way how tragedy turned into a beautiful legend describes Yujin's adventure.
Arlo quickly earned the nickname "ocelot" due to their lifestyle. They have difficulty trusting people due to past experiences and prefer solitary travel and warm climates, although this does not stop them from traveling outside their comfort zone. Being a wanderer, they attract the attention of the villagers from whom they differ, and the rumor about the strange person wanders from village to village, acquiring some details and losing others. Eventually, a vague description of Arlo's appearance and behavioral characteristics formed the final image of the ocelot that stuck with them.
I like to jokingly compare Norman to a hairless cat or a donkey, but in canon he appears as a hare or a rabbit. Rabbits are considered lunar animals in many communities, and each has its own legend. Some say it's because there are as many of them as there are stars in the sky, while others believe that the rabbit stole all the luck from the moon, bringing it to the people and leaving the moon alone, cold and angry, which is why it sends misfortunes at night. In any case, the moon is associated with evil and Norman is associated with the moon, as I wrote in one of the previous posts. Like a hare, he is skinny and nimble, capable of doing evil before you have time to notice and at the same time he is afraid of punishment for his own actions that he cannot or does not want to stop committing.
