What Is A Subterranean Termite?
Subterranean termites are members of the Rhinotermitidae family. This insect lives in the ground and has the largest nests of any insect in the United States. Food supplies, including as trees, fence posts, and structural timbers in houses, are connected to these nests by mud tubes. Subterranean termites, which may be found in every state except Alaska, cause the majority of termite damage in the United States.
