Kurogane let out a relieved, deep breath when Yuui seemed to not immediately call him out for his crazy idea. He took one of the blankets Yuui showed him and nodded when Yuui already made enthusiastic plans for preparation of the mission.

He wasn’t sure if Yuui was being naive about it or just so supportive that he didn’t mind the consequences of the plan going wrong, but despite being reckless more often than not, Kurogane still felt responsible for his friend somewhat. It was a trait he probably developed as the oldest kid in his small home village.

So he felt compelled to add: “If someone catches us doing that, we’re most likely going to be punished. Probably even expelled.”

About to run off and get all the things they needed for a long trip, Yuui stops as Kurogane suddenly seemed really serious about this, and how it could go really wrong if they weren’t careful. 

Of course he would be sad if he was tossed out of school. He knew he would have to face the idea of not being allowed to learn more magic, and just go back to being a normal kid that everyone around were sure was weird and probably never have an actual real adventure again in his life. 

However, he knew he could accept all of it as long as he still had something left from his time in Hogwarts. 

“If we get expelled. We will still be best friends right? And visit each other and go on adventures?” He asks, waiting hopeful on the answer.

Kurogane nodded; he agreed that they had to get Murasaki out of the castle before she started to breathe fire. He had been thinking about what to do with her a lot lately. Yuui had probably noticed that Kurogane wasn’t paying that much attention in class in the past week, and he had also brought a map of Scotland to most classes, tapping on it with his writing quill and frowning with furrowed brows. His behaviour had already cost Gryffindor 15 points.

“I was thinking…”, he started, not sure what his friend would think about his plan, but hoping he’d either know a better one or would help him, anyway. “We could write the wizard clan that takes care of the Hebridean Blacks, ask them to come here and give Murasaki over to them.” He cleared his throat. “That will most likely get us into serious trouble, though.” Now he was going to tell Yuui about his real plan, which he knew sounded reckless even for the two of them. “The other idea I had was to tie Murasaki to our brooms and bring her to the reserve they have for the Blacks, leave her there somewhere close to the other dragons and then get back to Hogwarts. It would take us about two hours each way with the brooms, and most of the flight would be over the ocean.” They would have to stay high up during the flight though to avoid being seen by muggles. Not even taking into account that they’d probably have to do this at night so no one would see their departure or arrival.

Yuui lights up again as he realized that Kurogane had already planned everything out. He was about to agree on accepting their punishment so that Murasaki could at least be sent safely to where she belonged. If it came down to it Yuui would rather they had to pay for it and not Murasaki. That was just a quickly growing baby and wasn’t accountable for any of his actions at all. 

However, when Kurogane started on his other plan, that sounded a lot smarter! Then no one would get in any sort of trouble! He was also sure it would all be easy for them, cause they could do anything when they where together. 

“AH!” Yuui jumps up, before he runs over to grab some of the warm blankets his parents had sent with him, and he runs eagerly back. “We have to put this around her so she don’t get cold while we travel! It is really cold outside after all! Then I have to train on flying... I am not really good, but I will get better for Murasaki!”

Goodbye to TTU

I have been on hiatus for a while now because I have been busy with stuff I have wanted to get done in real life. Writing, drawing, handcraft, things I haven’t gotten a lot of time to do over the last few years, and during this time, I have realized that my heart really isn’t in this AU anymore. I love my characters to death, and I love all of my interactions and I love everyone at TTU. 

I were one of the first ones that returned to TTU when it came back again, and I don’t regret coming back even once. I met a lot of new friends, and I feel like the friendships will last, especially the most tight ones. 

So I am leaving TTU. This means both for Yuui and Tyki, and if anyone wants to keep contact with me I am still on discourse, and gladly chat with anyone that wants to. 

Bye everyone, it was a good run, and I am sad the Meta club won’t get to make everyone a fun Halloween event this year. So whatever the mods makes, the Meta club will be with them in spirit!

Hiatus notice

//Because I have some stuff planned for this week, and possibly for longer as well, I have taken out a hiatus until I get it done. I will still be around, so just ask about stuff on discord if there is anything you wonder about, or if you just want to plot a thread until I get back. I am estimating about 2-3 weeks before I will return. 

This of course means for both Yuui and for Tyki =w=

Kurogane found that it was worth keeping strong and teasing Yuui just for the adorable reaction he got out of it. Once again, he did realize the irony of that thought, but he didn’t care.

“Now you’re talking nonsense again”, Kurogane huffed with a smile when Yuui ended his list of positives Kurogane would be getting out of joining him with preventing his husband getting a tan. 

Quite to the contrary, Yuui had been looking worse and worse lately, and Kurogane would love for him to get and look a bit more healthy. “I’m sure the vitamin D is good for you”, Kurogane said, and pushed himself off the window sill. He was a bit worried about Yuui getting a sunburn though, since his neck already seemed a bit reddened. Before he went out into the garden, Kurogane took the big hat Yuui had worn to the beach to shield himself from the sun, and after Kurogane closed the distance to the tomatoes and his husband, he put the hat on Yuui’s head and leaned in for a kiss.

“I am not! Is legitimate problems.” Yuui fumes, feeling like he had gotten his point across perfectly as Kurogane left the window and soon joined him in the garden, even pulling out his hat for him and putting it on. “I’m not too sun burnt am I?” He asks after his adorkable hubby dared kissing him after all the mean things he had just said about him. 

“I wonder if I am ever going to get anything done here though. I work and work and I feel like weed just comes back right away.” He sighs, as he takes his gloves off as he had a feeling he needed a break. “But I think we could get some potatoes down over on the other side if the ones we have in the fridge starts budding a little. And I asked if there was a chance we could get some different spices to grow as well. Anything you think we should try?”

“You don’t”, Kurogane corrected his husband earnestly. It was a joy to watch him work in the garden on a variety of levels; from the satisfaction of seeing how much fun Yuui had with it, over the cute overall he was wearing, to the inherent fun of watching his handsome husband doing bodily taxing work. Kurogane could do it all day.

When Yuui smiled one of those smiles which turned Kurogane’s heart and determination into goo the second he laid sight on it, he was about to immediately come out to be his husband’s sun umbrella, but he mustered up enough willpower to wait for a couple more moments before he gave in. “What’s in it for me?”, he asked instead. 

He couldn’t avoid looking at his husband with the warm expression of a lovestruck idiot, though, so that might have taken away from the convincingness of his teasing.

Even with the teasing Yuui still felt his face flush up slightly when Kurogane pointed out that there was nothing wrong with how he looked. He fumes a little as he leans down to focus on the tomatoes again, trying to hide his blush as he didn’t want to give his sweet talking husband the satisfaction right now. He would only get cockier then, and he would keep going for hours.

“Hm, what is in it for you?” Having been able to get the blush off his face, he turns smiling towards his husband again. “You get to taste the food I make from this and you also get to keep enjoying the scenery of me from even closer.” He takes a small pause, before he adds: “You also get to give me a back rub, my shoulders are getting stiff. I am not used to hard work, and if you don’t come down here I am going to end up with a tan! Think about that! Your husband with a tan! That is a sin in itself!”

Yuui finally caught on on the fact that he was being watched. How he noticed, Kurogane didn’t know, since he had been completely silent, but it didn’t surprise him.

“Just enjoying the view”, Kurogane answered with a smirk.

“Oh? I imagine I just look horrible.” Yuui chuckles as he was a sweaty mess. He hated sun days, and would usually avoid them like the plague, but had started realizing doing this garden thing would get him out of the house even on sunny days. 

“You wouldn’t want to come down here and be my shadow would you? I promise to not get any dirt on you.” Yuui smiles his cutest smile, wearing some overalls he had bought cheap so he wouldn’t get his clothes dirty. He had even gotten some real garden gloves. He had been told he should have different ones depending on what sort of flowers and stuff he were working with, but he would have to figure out that later.

It was late summer, and Ms. Taylor from upstairs asked Yuui for help to get the garden ready for fall, when she'd harvest the vegetables she had been growing in summer. So far, Yuui seemed to really enjoy gardening. It wasn't the first evening he would stay outside to work on what Ms. Taylor showed him even after she went back upstairs to rest. Kurogane opened the window in their living room and leaned out on the window sill to watch his husband silently focused on a batch of tomatoes.

Yuui had never really done much gardening before. He had helped out in school and things like that, but never had any chance to actually work in a almost private garden. Of course it wasn’t their garden as it was Ms. Taylor’s, but she had said that since she didn’t eat as much anymore, they were free to share it between themselves. It might be a reason he worked this hard on it, cause if there was a really nice yield, he didn’t have to feel too bad about taking some of it in the end. 

He had also wondered about the chance of planting some potatoes too, and had left some in the fridge to see if it would bud enough for them to plant it at the back of the house. 

Feeling eyes on him, the curious Yuui looks up, cleaning some sweat from his forehead before he chuckles. “Kuro-rin wants to come help too? Or only here to admire the beautiful scenery?”

Kurogane stared at Yuui when Yuui implied that going through the IKEA maze was more convenient than going to more conventional furniture and diy mega stores, and shook his head.

Then he looked at the carts with all the stuff they had gathered. Those were actually the last things they had needed to get their place properly set up for living. Everything else they still wanted would be extras they’d probably get from second-hand places and the like.

Kurogane suddenly fully realized they were nearly done finishing their flat. It had taken them the whole summer, but when they set everything up they got today, they’d be done.

He ate the last meat ball before he got up to start to load everything into the van. He started with the largest package to start stacking everything in the back of the van properly and without wasting too much space. After bringing the first package in and jumping out of the van again, he went over to Yuui and squeezed his husband’s shoulder.

“If we hurry, we can set up the bed this evening and sleep in it tonight”, he said.

Yuui took a few more bites of his pizza, that wasn’t anything close to any high brand restaurant pizza. If he had to be honest, it tasted like frozen pizza they had just heated a few times to keep it ready for the costumers. He really regretted they didn’t take time to eat at the actual restaurant, but he was sure Kurogane would have snapped if he had to sit inside a giant space filled with busy families and kids probably more broken than him over Ikea. 

Tossing the last piece of the pizza away as he decides he would make them an easy but hundred times better pizza that evening, he gets up to help Kurogane with getting their stuff into the van. 

At Kurogane’s eagerness to get the bed up, he can’t help but chuckle gently at his fitment. Of course it was the bed he was looking most forward to. “How about you get it put up? Then I can make us some actual food? I have all the equipment I need now.” He motions towards the stuff still in the back, as he had everything from pots to pans now. Something he was probably the most excitement besides the bed. His kitchen would soon be ready and he could do actual kitchen thing! He could be ready to spoil his friends and husband with homemade meals and not fight with a lot of hungry fellow students thinking a cup of instant noodles were worthy of kitchen space!

Kurogane helped Yuui up, and since there were only a couple matresses in the size they needed, it didn’t take them long to pick the one they liked the most. 

The two matresses they tested first had been the most comfortable, but also the most pricy, and in the end they settled on one that had the best price for the comfort it offered, which was not bad at all. After getting everything, paying up and leaving the crowded cash registers for where they sold the food, Kurogane was glad to finally get out, but also actually glad about all the stuff they had gotten.

They decided to not sit down in the building with the food - Kurogane really needed fresh air - so they left the store and went over to the van in the parking lot. Before loading what they had bought from the cart into the van, Kurogane opened the van’s backdoor and sat down on the elevated cargo area, his feet on the ground below the van, to eat his meatballs while sitting. He groaned.

“I hate IKEA”, he concluded and swallowed a meat ball.

Yuui was quite pleased from their haul. He had gotten all the furniture he needed, and all he felt like he would need for decorating now in the start. He had enough to completely fill their kitchen with all the utensils they needed to actually make anything. There was also still some marriage gifts they had gotten that they had stored away for a while that they could get a hold of again like really nice knives and stuff he could use as well, so he would just go to a local store and get smaller stuff he knew he would need later. 

Once outside, he slumps down as he just enjoys the pizza slices he had bought in the end, as he wasn’t really eager for takeaway food. He would make them a bigger dinner later when they got their home more fixed up, and then they could just relax and then jump into bed and test it. 

“I love it, it is like one hard act of labor and then it is over, instead of many trips around everywhere.”

“Then I guess we have to get up as quickly as possible”, Kurogane decided when he saw Yuui’s yawn. With Yuui turned to him lying barely a hand width away it would be nice to just lay an arm around him and take a nap, but on the other hand, he didn’t want to breathe any more IKEA air than he absolutely had to. Defeated, Kurogane rolled over to slip out of the bed. Then he walked around the matress and over to his husband to pull Yuui up from the matress if he had to. “Come. There’s three more to check out.”

Quite pleased as Kurogane was kind enough to come around the bed to help him up, as he was close to just rolling into a ball and make his own nest right now. Instead he takes his husband’s offered hand and gets up from the bed, before he makes out the next mattress that would actually fit Kurogane and him. 

“Hm, the next one is more expensive, but I think it is because it has some added pluses for people with aching muscles and stuff?” He looks at the note by it, as it said it was made to balance out more, so it would probably be a slightly harder one.

Kurogane hummed in agreement. 

After a few more moments of silence, he opened one of his eyes again and glanced over to his husband. He freed his hand from under his head and poked Yuui in the side. “Don’t actually fall asleep”, he said.

The blonde lets a yawn slip out, before he rolls over a little to look at his husband. “I make no promises.” 

If not for the fact they were in a open store and there was people walking past, he would probably have snuggled closer just to check if it was nice to snuggle in. But as some people walking past were staring now, he decided against it. 

When they got the bed home, he would just snuggle all he wanted, and the next day they could sleep in and not move for an entire day.

Sleepover! || Kuro, Yuui, & Xion

Kurogane appeared in the doorway of the garage a moment later, and any paranoia that she had driven into the wrong garage washed away with a pleasant wave of relief. She locked up the car and adjusted the bag over her shoulder, looking quite small in comparison to the overstuffed luggage.

She wasn’t sure what to bring for the sleepover, so she just brought everything.

“Hi!” Xion circled around her car until she was standing directly in front of her friend. The height difference never failed to surprise her; it felt like Kurogane was taller every time she saw him. His friendly warning makes her laugh, and the sound echoes throughout the vacant garage. “Fine by me. I’m starving.”

Now that school had started up again, she was back to eating ramen noodles and pop tarts for two of her three meals. A home cooked meal sounded great. She adjusted the duffel bag once more and threw a glance over her shoulder.

“Nice garage,” she quipped. “Needs more projects, though.”

With that, she brushed past Kurogane and made her way into the home. Almost immediately, her nose caught scent of a fantastic savory blend. The smell made her realize just how hungry she was. She only had to follow her nose to find the kitchen, and there she found her tall blond friend. She pranced over, dropped her bag on the floor with a loud noise, and threw her arms around him in a tight hug.

Busy with finishing up the sauce now, Yuui is about to turn to greet his friend as he heard the door open again, and he turns just in time for the bag to drop the floor before he got a Xion coming right at him. With a smile he hugs back, as he pats her gently on the head, while making sure to not spill any sauce on her. 

“I hope the drive here wasn’t too hard?” It wasn’t the hardest place to find, he himself thought, but they had traveled back and forth so many times now he felt like it was just the way home. He could soon walk there blind. 

“I also hope you are hungry, cause I have made a lot for you!” He cheers, as he had told Kurogane earlier that he could get seconds if Xion showed she wasn’t hungry anymore. They needed to make sure she was well fed, and if she felt like Kurogane and him wasn’t getting enough, she would probably eat less, so he had ordered Kurogane to have a smaller stomach until she were sated.

“I like it already”, Kurogane said pleased and closed his eyes to shield them against the glaring ceiling lights shining down at them. As far as he was concerned, he would immediately take this matress because of his bliss over 2,2m of space alone, but he knew that they were going to check the others and compare prices. In a minute or something.

“Maybe we should just move in here? Get them to deliver, and just not move again?” Yuui proposes, as he was sure that if the other mattresses actually were better than this, he would just die from ultimate bliss the second he laid down. Like he had reached Nirvana and there was nothing more to strive for in the world. 

“Do you think they will toss us out if I accidentally fall asleep on the show model? It would be like free advertisement.”

Sleepover! || Kuro, Yuui, & Xion

A sleepover was much needed and well deserved after so much time of being apart from her best friends. Kurogane and Yuui always saw each other now that they were married, but Xion hardly ever spent time with them outside of being in the metaphysical existence club. She missed her weekly self-defense classes with Kurogane and the supernatural studying she did with Yuui in the library. Nowadays, she didn’t do very much other than work on art projects. Being an art major was a very time consuming thing and she was beginning to regret choosing animation as her major.

But worries about grades and credits had been pushed to the back of her mind for the evening. She had planned a sleepover at her friends’ new apartment and had been looking forward to it all week - nothing was going to lower her spirits now.

When her GPS had cheerfully informed her that she had arrived at her destination, she pulled off the street and into the open garage that was waiting for her. An empty garage? What a waste, she couldn’t help but to think. Hopefully the GPS had taken her to the right place and she hadn’t just pulled into some stranger’s garage by mistake.

Whipping out her phone, Xion shot her friends a text.

I’m here. I think?? [Sent 8:32PM]

She turned off her car and grabbed her duffel bag out of the passenger seat. It was exciting to see Yuui and Kurogane’s new flat. It would be the first time she was seeing it for herself, as well as the first time in a long while that they were all hanging out somewhere other than the club room.

Yuui and Kurogane had used the entire summer vacation fixing their new apartment, so they hadn’t really seen any of their friends for ages. He had even cut off Meta club for the summer so he didn’t have to travel back to school for the meetings. 

Of course they had planned on having a giant house warming party when they were done, but before they had gotten around to planing it, Xion had wondered if the place was ready for coming over soon, and as it was, they had planned an early party at their place just for Xion. 

It would be the first sleepover at their place, and that was special. Yuui were currently quite excited as he were working on a grand dinner for their guests’ arrival. 

In the middle of pouring the water of the potatoes, the message ticks in, and he leans back in the kitchen door, hollering to Kurogane in the living room trying to set up their TV for their first guest, as it until then had just been an object they had gotten cause it was natural, not because they used it much themselves. 

“Kuro-tama~ Can you go and let Xion-chan in?”

Kurogane knew he wouldn’t get around this since he also wanted to make sure they got the best matress, so he resigned to his fate, got out of his shoes and laid down next to Yuui.

Being used to beds being chronically too small for him, this actually felt like a little revelation after the average-sized dorm beds. Kurogane rested his arms behind his back and stretched his legs and feet satisfied. “Awesome”, he said.

A small bounce moves through the mattress as Kurogane settled down beside him, and Yuui tested out how it was having someone beside you as well, as it gave a little in under Kurogane’s weight as he was a lot heavier. It didn’t feel bad though, as Kurogane didn’t leave enough of a dent to make him roll unto him on his own. It was steady and balanced it out. 

“Hyu~ So this is what a double bed feels like?” He sings, as he had never really had big beds.
