They used to stand outside my old work and play all the time. They likely still do but I’m 4000 mile away now I can’t say for sure. Used to drive our manager bonkers cause you’d be able to feel it pusling through the Victorian brick walls like a heartbeat. One time they got into a jamming session with a guy playing the didgeridoo and I’m pretty certain my soul vibrated out of my body for a bit.

168 Hours

It seems like a long time when you put it that way. That's when news began to travel around my hometown that someone was on a shooting spree. My friends and I huddled in a hotel ballroom and just waited for a sign that it was over. We watched the scene unfold on local, national, and even international media. The next couple of days included more politicians than were welcome, satellite trucks and national broadcasters.

Even with those news crews gone now, I'm not even close to making sense of what happened last Saturday. I'm not back to 100%, nor do I know of many people who are. I don't know what I want to come out of all of this, but here's what I don't want:
