RP Blogs and Mental Health

Eb, mun of Ant and Purgy here, just with a quick notice I hope everybody reads. It's pretty simple; whether you're part of the audience or part of the cast, the rp blogs of tbwf fandom can put you on an emotional roller coaster. It's unbelievably infuriating to not know what's going on with characters and it's emotionally exhausting to rp them when they're deep in depression and anxiety. But no matter what you may tell yourself, neither position is fun. What I'm asking is that, whether you are an anon or a mun, whether you interact with the blogs or not- if at absolutely any time the blogs start to affect your mental health badly, please take a break. There's no point in sacrificing your own well being just so you can stay in on the loop of a circle of fan made tumblr blogs. It's hard to learn to take a break. But it has to be done. It took me months to realize that I was sacrificing my mental health for ant. I refused to take a step back and let myself breathe because the blogs were my escape hatch. They were supposed to be the light in my life. But when I finally learned to, if only for a days, it made all the difference in the world. These blogs are made to be fun for all of us, not to harm your mental health. If they are contributing to your anxiety and depression, take a break and breath. Give yourself at least one day to ignore them. Please take care of yourself. You are more important.
