From a little-known tucked away corner in the Southern French Languedoc region called Cabrieres, this is a typical blend of southern French red grapes...It really is a treasure...

Happy #GrenacheDay
We love the humble Grenache grape - biased you might say but there is a reason we chose it for our wine. So to celebrate International #GrenacheDay here are our top facts about this lovely little grape:
1.   Grenache’s home is actually just over the Pyrenees from us in Aragon. In Spain it is known as Garnacha or Garnatxa. In Italy it is known as Cannonau
2.   Like us Grenache loves the sunshine and warmth – perfect for developing the ripe red berry flavours it is famous for.
3.   Grenache is one of the 13 permitted varietals allowed in the production of another French favourite of ours, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
4.   Did you know that after France and Spain the largest wine regions for Grenache are the USA and Australia?
5.   China has a rumored 5000 hectares of Grenache planted….so watch this space!
Most importantly though:
Both our Bijou red and rosé are made using the finest Grenache grown in the commune of Cabrières in the Languedoc!

BIJOU ROSE IS A GLOBAL MASTER
So thrilled to announce that our Bijou Rosé has been awarded Silver at this year's Global Rosé Masters.
Direct from the beautiful hidden terroir of Cabrières in the Languedoc with its unique soil, high in schist, which allows for production of some of the purest wines from the South of France. The rosé is blended from specially selected cuvees and crafted from Cinsault and Grenache grapes.
As soon as you pour it into the glass you are transported to the idyllic Southern French countryside - it is summer in a glass, full of ripe red fruit and refreshing zestiness! With a warm bank holiday approaching this is definitely one to have chilling in the fridge to enjoy in the sunshine with friends or over a leisurely lunch.
In fact, we're off to pop one in the chiller right now!
A lovely, bold rosé, with juicy cherry notes...drink it with a host of dishes including the Grilled spiced chicken and Salad Niçoise.

Success for Bijou Rosé at Concours Général Agricole Paris 2016
We are excited to announce that our Bijou Rosé has once again picked up another prestigious award!
For 2016 Bijou Rosé has been awarded a gold medal at the highly respected Concours Général Agricole Paris 2016. The CGA annually receives over 15,000 entries of which only 3500 are lucky enough to receive a medal and far less receive the accolade of a gold. Our Commercial Manager, Emma Laval says: ‘Our award winning Bijou Rosé consistently goes from strength to strength and offers exceptional quality and value for money and we are thrilled that not only has it been recognised by the CGA but been awarded a gold.’
Bijou Rosé is blended from specially selected cuvees, crafted from Cinsault and Grenache grapes grown in the beautiful hidden terroir of Cabrières in the Languedoc. Bijou Rosé is quite simply summer in a glass: the palate of this medium bodied, dry rosé is full of ripe red summer fruits and a refreshing zestiness. It is the perfect aperitif to enjoy in the sunshine or over a leisurely lunch. An absolute must for any summer get together in 2016!
