MILK AND HONEY.
― Elena Ferrante, The Story of a New Name
[text ID: I am what I am and I have to accept myself; I was born like this, in this city, with this dialect, without money; I will give what I can give, I will take what I can take, I will endure what has to be endured.]
MILK AND HONEY.
“She kisses like a sweet devouring, and I don’t know where to touch her because I want all of her.”
— John Green
“.الجيات أحسن من الرايحات What is coming is better than what is gone.”
— Arabic Proverb
“Some hearts understand each other, even in silence.”
— Yasmin Mogahed
A ignorância não é uma benção - é só um tipo mais profundo de pavor.
- Smoke gets in your eyes
ignorance is not bliss, only a deeper kind of terror.
The paradox of freedom
Language is what frees us from the undeciphered caos of our thoughts, but it’s also what makes us prisoners from the reality itself creates.
Everything we see and feel is created by language. We experience the world through it. We can’t see what we can’t name. We can’t distinguish it if we can’t somehow explain it, make it perceptible. We can only understand what we can recognize and then organize in speech.
