A year ago today my mom and I queued for over 9 hours to see Green Day play 3 songs outside the allstar game in St. Louis, which is where we live. It had been 2 and a half years since we had seen them last, and it was the last event we went to before the pandemic. The fact that I get to say I saw one of my absolute FAVORITE FUCKING BANDS in my city FOR FREE no matter the duration will always blow me away. We were really looking forward to seeing them twice this past summer, but knowing that of all bands I got to see as the last ones before lockdown, I’m so thankful it got to be them. I miss shows so fucking much. I miss getting to meet people in line and meeting up with people from on here. I miss the energy. I miss my favorite thing in the world. Looking forward to the day we can all do it again. ❤️

Youth and beauty culture tries to convince people (especially women) that we need to have everything figured out in our 20s but life rarely works like that. You’re not gonna shrivel up and die in your 30s like youth culture wants you to believe. The world is your oyster no matter what age you are.
