Wakamiya’s grand entrance

Wearing an otafuku mask, but without the cherry blossom branch, which he was holding in the manga and nonexistent in the anime, Wakamiya made his entrance by showing how magnanimous he was by rattling the tarpaulins and bamboo curtains, shaking up the whole palace, and bringing the cherry blossoms with him.

The mask and the branch are typical props to celebrate spring in Japan.

The otafuku mask represents “a woman who brings good fortune to the man she marries. She is also seen as the goddess of merriment who spreads good luck.”

Is he going to bring “good luck” to his future spouse?

It is amusing that he does not say anything before he sees Yukiya fly toward the stage in front of the Sakura Blossom Palace to announce the purpose of his visit but a curt yes to acknowledge his cousin’s welcoming words.

He also broke the protocol of transforming himself into a raven in front of the court ladies, which was not accepted in the Center.

Also, the spring performance that the court ladies were watching should have been organised by the new princess of the Southern House after Hamayu left. But it seemed the lady Nadeshiko wasn’t there yet.

Moreover, they made Wakamiya more attractive on the frames and the way he stood with his right foot behind his left as if he was tiptoeing totally captivated his audience.

Too bad, he is there to clear up some things and they aren’t all pretty.

I definitely did not see that twist coming because I kept suspecting Natsuka for being nefarious but it turned out that he adored his baby brother to be his protector.
