Stories Children Will Talk About: Interview with BIONICLE Co-creator Bob Thompson

Bob Thompson was the Head of Character & Story development for LEGO Media International at the time BIONICLE was first conceived, through early 2005. He kindly agreed to speak about his time working at LEGO for BIONICLE's 25th anniversary!

In this discussion, Bob speaks about his professional background, his approach to telling a multimedia story when that was still a newer concept, and about some of the lingering mysteries from the BIONICLE stories he told.

Betcha haven't heard this before! Its the background music from the ending FMV of BIONICLE (2003 videogame), but isolated from sound effects and voices. This and the other FMV tracks have been added to the archive, courtesy of the original composers kindly sharing MP3s for the entire OST.

Also added, some new-to-the-archive concept art of Le-Wahi in the game!

BMP Interview: Kun Chang, BIONICLE Art & Design at Ghost

Recently, filmmaker, director, and artist Kun Chang kindly agreed to sit down with BMP and share his memories from working on BIONICLE. His contributions included storyboarding the six Toa short films, as well as designing the Kini Nui temple!

BIONICLE: The Official Comic Magazine

In Germany, BIONICLE comics were published by Panini, who added things like a lexicon and fanart submitted by kids. Also when they were running out of comics in 2006 they did a two-issue photocomic adaption of Mask of Light?? Now available for reading:
