the name's zsófi; i am a long distance lover and collector of old cameras and coins. i believe all seasons are pretty and that fresh, untouched snow is one of the most gorgeous sights in the world. my biggest enemy is my own self and my biggest fear is being abandoned. i am an optimistic pessimist. i hate not knowing things just as much as i love learning. i like to take pictures because it makes feel like i belong somewhere. the only thing i am insanely good at is listening to insanely good music. i like strawberries the most. i ride my bike whenever i can. this is my photoblog & a miscellany of my personal rambings at times. heavysky is my tumblr-alter-ego or a pile of whatever i feel like reblogging. flickr is where i share my images. the crafty cloud is my DIY blog, because I love to make things with my hands. i pin things that inspire me. sometimes i also make mixtapes. i am twenty-one years old and i go to university to learn about scandinavia.
(Krakow part 3) Accidentally ending up at sunday mass in St Mary’s church (for like 10 minutes, before we were sent away as we were tourists not believers) was probably the best part of sunday. One of the most beautiful and interesting gothic churches I’ve ever been inside.
(Krakow part 2) Months ago, while planning this trip, I was browsing tripadvisor to find out what’s there to see in Krakow besides the main square and I came across the Stained Glass Museum which is still a functioning stained glass workshop. Honestly, this was beyond words; guided tours every hour, with a guide who also works there, so the whole process is explained and shown to you (if you are lucky enough to be there on the right days and have a bit of extra money, you can even make your own stained glass). it’s also surprisingly cheap and they have a museum café with nice coffee and delicious homemade cookies.
(Krakow part 1) last weekend i was in krakow with grainsintherain and it was really magical. it makes me warm and fuzzy to think about it. it was definitely one of the loveliest cities i’ve ever been to. we arrived on friday evening after our bus was extraordinarily late (6 hours delay) so that kinda messed up our plans but it was lovely nevertheless.
so i spent the past week in a small town in the mountains of rural austria with my family and it's been a blast. we've been hiking mostly. connecting to nature and that kinda stuff. have some pictures. i'll post more later.
