the reason why no faction ever tries to put a bounty on a Hive Queen or wipe out the Hivers is probably because they tried that once with Mongrel and then the Fogmen showed up.
Imagine. The Foglands. Extremely fertile land, lots of copper, lots of iron, one Hive. You set up a city called Mongrel, kill the Queen, and then all of a sudden bug zombies start eating everyone and now we can't get rid of them and everyone is stuck in this random city and they're leaking through the borders of other nations.
No one is ever going to try to kill any Hive Queen after that, which is the reason why I think most of the factions which should probably want the Hives dead (Holy Nation, Tech Hunters, literally anybody around the Southern Hive), don't put any bounties on the Queens because they don't want to deal with the Fogmen.
immediately after an interaction: i have GOT to get more normal oh god i need to get more normal immediately i have to get more normal or they're going to hunt me down they're going to hunt me down and flay me for sport
during an interaction: and why not put a little spin on it? why not add some conversational zest?
i have never played Kanna's Route, so surely I am qualified to give insight and reasoning as to why Logic Route is a good route to go down.
Number 1.
Kanna and Sou are both major liabilities.
Sou wants to murder everyone. That is his goal. If he is in a vote, it is Russian Roulette with him; there is always a 2/4 chance he is either the Sacrifice or Keymaster.
No matter what it is always going to be a coinflip that voting him will instantly kill me. But thats okay because I KNOW it is always going to be a 50/50 shot.
Kanna will literally do anything to ensure Sara survives. She tried to sacrifice herself during both the first and second trial, got manipulated by Sou twice in a row, and during the second trial we learn she will actively try to sabotage herself to save Sara.
Now, my goal playing YTTD is the one most people might have; to reduce casualties (not counting alice/reko cause they die from the white hair guy instead of sou).
Before the routes begin, there are about 9ish people alive (7 once the trial ends but yknow how it goes). I know Sou is going to try and kill everyone.
But
Kanna will absolutely sabotage everyone else if it means she gets to save Sara. We can see this during most of Chapter 2 where she tries to swap out her card with Sara's.
If Kanna gets the Sacrifice, she will try to get herself voted out to save Sara.
If Sara gets the Sacrifice, Kanna will try to get Sara voted out to save Sara.
I went in assuming seven people would survive chapter 3 until the vote. I overestimated.
But (number 2)
At the end of Chapter 3-1, no matter what route, I am pretty sure you end up with either 4 or 5 people depending on your choices.
Sou = 2/4 chance he tries to kill us
Kanna = 2/5 chance she tries to kill everyone but us
At this point in Sou's Route, it appears the game is going to end with only two people left alive. Although even if Sou tries to kill us, there is always the tried and true classic of reaching over the podium and stabbing him. I would be confident in saying I would be evenly matched with Sou, which is how I know that even Gin could absolutely demolish him in a fight. If the vote don't work, murder does.
Kanna? You can't really kill a child everyone adores. In Kanna's route, the biggest threat is Keiji. Either the game somehow ends, Keiji is picked as the Sacrifie, or the vote is going to conclude and theres going to be one final vote to figure out who dies among the remaining three. Some way or another, something tragic is going to happen. I doubt both Kanna and Gin are going to survive the trial.
But (number 3)
Keiji. I don't trust this person.
It is going to likely be a toss-up as to whether Gin, Sara, or Keiji survive.
Keiji has already tried to kill us. He gave us the Sacrifice in Chapter 2, and then left us out to dry. He didn't know for certainty that Gashu would cheat to switch out our card. He either assumed and banked on luck we wouldn't die or Kanna would switch with us (jerk move Keiji) or he was just backstabbing us and moving on with Qtaro (no idea why, you were the one who brought us here Keiji).
Do I think Keiji will hold a child's life as more valuable than his own?
No.
Do I think he holds Sara's life-
no.
Keiji will absolutely try to kill everyone if he has the Sacrifice (so 1/4 or 1/5 depending on the Route), and its unsure what he would do if Sara has the Sacrifice (probably kill us tbh).
In short.
With Sou, everyone is playing Russian Roulette with three bullets.
With Keiji and Kanna, everyone has an unknown number of bullets every time the gun gets passed their way.
This. Is not a good argument. But it IS still a somewhat decent one, so i'll take it.
Tei is going to be tortured by Kan next week.
Something bad is going to happen to the Engineering Head
Snowball and Purple are going to die. I will be sad.
Game 3 will hopefully be between the staff??????? The plane has a balck and white colour scheme, white lab coats, third game is Tetro white.....
tetro blue 2nd case; whodunnit and why and where and what and who is Bleeding: an EXTENSIVE theory
I HAVE A MASSIVE PROJECT DUE and have indigestion.
anyways here we go.
SPOILERS AHEAD, you know the drill
so. I was wrong, the Bleeding do almost certainly exist. But I was also right, Nischiguchi was on the chopping block.
So. Big Question on everyone's minds:
Do we have Bleeding? Do they actually exist, or are the Bluedents being lied to to trick someone into being killed?
Now, there are three possibilities we can consider:
1. There are no Bleeding. Simple, straightforwards, easy.
2. There are Bleeding. Simple, straightforwards, easy.
3. Everyone has been told that they are the Bleeding or have recruited a Bleeding. Unlikely. Disregarded.
It should be noted though that ANYONE can just write a note saying: "YOU and these other people are Bleeding" to get them to cooperate with the murder, although that would be really elaborate to set up so probably not.
I will discuss whether or not the Bleeding do actually exist later, but I will say that I think there are Bleeding due to Kumada's outburst (I'll go over the logic in a sec), but for now we will assume there ARE Bleeding.
PART A: ASSUMING THERE ARE BLEEDING
Now. Big Question 2...
WHO ARE THE BLEEDING?
From what I have seen, I will be basing my theory on two deductions:
A. The video of the engineering head asking if the reason why the term used is Bleeding means something
and
B. A random youtube comment I found somewhere from someone smarter than me. The comment says the Bleeding, if there is meaning behind the name, are likely the three people who bled/were injured during the Voting Game. These would be Ogura, Ikeda, and Hirose.
So... Ogura, Ikeda, and Hirose. Okay. Now, the Bleeding may not get to choose who they recruit but for the sake of the argument let us say they can. Let us also say that each of the original Bleeding picks one person to recruit (Ogura picks one, Hirose picks one, Ikeda picks one).
Given this, who would each person pick?
Well... I believe that it goes something like this:
Ogura -> Mathias
Hirose -> Denden
Ikeda -> Kumada
or
Nishiguchi is along with Ninomiya (will cover this in part B/C)
You may wonder WHY I think each person picked THESE SPECIFIC PEOPLE. Well.
Ogura - knows Mathias/Hidemi and promised to get him AND Ikeda out and save them and she doesn't want to leave him behind.
Hirose - now, Hirose is a toss-up between Isoda and Denden. But I believe he chose Denden. Why? Not sure, maybe because of his Hippocratic Oath? Maybe because Denden mentions that the Bleeding asked Monomoko for help in the sabotages (I do have things to say about this).
Ikeda - contrary to the other two, I don't think Ikeda actually wants to escape the Killing Game. He knows if he ever escapes, he will be confined and likely never found or punished by his father for disappearing. So he doesn't really want to escape, and therefore doesn't want the Bleeding to win.
Secondly, he really wants to be petty. He is in a silly mood. And he can choose ONE PERSON to be a member on the Bleeding team. A team he does not really want to win, because that means leaving. A Bleeding member, who by existing as a Bleeding, has a real chance of being voted out and killed if they are the Blackened and Ikeda sabotages the Bleeding for his own benefit. If this is the case, and Ikeda DOES NOT WANT TO LEAVE THE GAME AND IS PLANNING ON SABOTAGING THE BLEEDING, then HE WILL NOT PICK TEI TO JOIN THE BLEEDING.
Because that means Tei will have to get involved in the murder, and when Ikeda backstabs the Bleeding Tei might die if he is the Blackened.
continued....
So who should Ikeda choose?
Kumada. Obviously. She now is in a position where she has to make the conscious choice to betray Sou and Nischiguchi. She is now forced to either play out the scenario where the Bleeding win and both of her friends die, or the Bleeding lose and her friends find out she probably tried to get them killed. And if Kumada DOES end up being the Blackened, then Ikeda gets rid of her.
Also I think Kumada is the Bleeding because of the whole "stabbing Isoda thing". There is no reason for Kumada to get upset about a contradiction in her alibi if both her and Isoda are Bleeding unless Isoda is not Bleeding or neither are Bleeding and Kumada was worried she would get lynched in the trial and crashed out. But the second one doesn't make sense because why lie so its the first one. She also could have been tricked and received a note that SAID she was the Bleeding when in reality she wasen't.
Note: It is maybe possible that the recruited Bleeding don't know who the original Bleeding and other recruited Bleeding are? but im gonna pass on outlining this.
Part B: The Murder
1. WHY DID ONLY ONE PERSON DIE?
- Mentioned this in a previous post. If the Bleeding kill two people, the Bleeding automatically win. So why only kill one?
- Either there is a Ghost Rule where the Bleeding only can kill one person at a time
- A non-Bleeding killed and didn't have the time to kill two people on such short notice.
2. Was Nischiguchi a Bleeding?
No. Because if she was then why would Kumada accuse Nischi of poisoning dinner if they were both the Bleeding?
Also Yes. Because Kumada was argueing because she was worried Nishiguchi was going to do a murder on her own or that someone who wasen't a Bleeding was setting up a murder. If this is the case, then it is possible Ikeda is not the Bleeding, or that Ninomiya is the Bleeding.
3. HOW DID THE MURDER PLAY OUT?
Someone steals the poisonous plants on the second floor to spike dinner, maybe by disguising the plants as chives or something.
Kumada separates Nischiguchi from Sou for the murder plot.
Sou had his room key stolen during the fire alarm, stolen by Someone (probably Kumada) which is why SHE says they met but he didnt because she didn't talk to him and he didnt know she was there. How did she steal the key? Only guess is maybe because she knows that Sou can only see out of his peripherals and otherwise relies on his hearing when moving around? And he didn't feel her stealing the key because his dress has thick layering?
Someone steals Sou's plants to hide the fact that it was the Engineering Plants used to poison dinner.
Someone disposes of *something* in Shishikura's bathroom by going through Akiba's door.
Sometime, Nishiguchi ends up in the Operating Room with at least one other person. I believe that either:
A. Nishiguchi is injected with a sedative and knocked out and placed on the table. The killer gets some plants to prep the murder, but she wakes up, falls off the table bruising everything, then grabs some surgical scissors to defend herself. She loses/dies from poison/is sedated, but also stabs the killer. The killer cleans themselves up with toilet water, washes the surgical scissors, then takes Nishiguchi's body to the other room and shoves a ton of poisonous and generic plants into her mouth until she suffocates (this is why her body is blue and gray, its because of the lack of oxygen). Then the killer returns upstairs to get an alibi.
B. Nishiguchi is actually a Bleeding and goes to kill someone on Kumada's command using the surgical scissors. Nishiguchi fails, gets knocked out, then the same thing happens as listed above.
This is getting to a ridiculous length so I'll keep it short.
I am CONVINCED the Blackened sustained some kind of physical wound during the murder.
The killer HAD to know how to use a syringe. I don't think you can just inject a drug anywhere in the body and have it work (not an expert though) so it has to be someone who knows how to use a needle.
These people are Hirose, Shishikura, Ninomiya, and Mathias (doctor, patient, insulin injection, implied drug trafficking)
Shishikura cannot be the bleeding because fear of hospitals; he is NOT wielding a needle or going anywhere near the hospital (also he would be DECIMATED by Nishiguchi in a fight, especially since he is still recovering from his prescriptions being stolen)
Not Kumada; she, Sou, and Nishi are the only people who know where the knives were hidden. If she wanted to kill Nishi in a simple manner, she would have used a knife, not plants. It COULD be she didn't use a knife because Sou would IMMEDIATELY know she was the killer, and the red herring is again the murderer. Needle could have been Hirose cooperating with her or something idk.
Ninomiya - I think he has an alibi? Maybe? Was in the kitchen all night but he could have left? I think Ninomiya is definitely suspicious, but I think he will stick around for a bit since he JUST learned about Okazaki.
Mathias - his personality has been changing for the past few episodes, even BEFORE the BDA. I think he is fabricating a lot of his personality around Ogura and Ninomiya in an attempt to sway the vote.
I think he knocked out Nishiguchi, did the murder, went upstairs to steal Sou's keys and rip up the plants to frame him I guess or frame Hirose by poisoning dinner, then went and returned to his room. After that Sou came in.
Also, time for a rambling theory that won't leave my head so now you all have to deal with it.
The reason for this is twofold:
1. He went under a fake name, and most of his backstory is dependent on his own word (same with a lot of students though tbf)
2. His talent is Dressage Rider according to the researchers.
The people running the game. List his talent. As Dressage Rider.
From what we have seen, every single Student's Talent directly relates to either their occupation or something they do everyday/frequently and makes up a large part of their life.
Now, we do not know how long Mathias has been kidnapped for; it could be a few weeks or a few years BUT IF HE KNOWS IKEDA DAIKI (and isn't lying about knowing him using extrapolatory information) from long ago then he probably does not have time to ride horses. Which would defeat the point of him being the Dressage Rider. Which means somethings up.
That or I am BUZZING on coffee in the middle of the night, and am tunnel visioning hARD because this is OVER 6000 WORDS WHY DID I DO THIS TO MYSELF.
anyways, Mathias (or Kumada, and its an red herring killer), final answer. Lock it in.

PART B + C OF BLACKENED AND HOW THE MURDER PLAYED OUT BELOW IN REBLOG
if nishi was the bleeding and it was a murder gone wrong, then Sou was probably meant to die instead. It was probably going to be set up to look self-inflicted by ingesting poisoned plants, thus trashing his room. I need to stop overthinking this but good luck everyone!
Hope you all are looking forwards to the trial and may your favourite not die!

Lock it in.
tetro blue 2nd case; whodunnit and why and where and what and who is Bleeding: an EXTENSIVE theory
Ogura -> Mathias
Hirose -> Denden
Ikeda -> Kumada
or
Nishiguchi is along with Ninomiya (will cover this in part B/C)

PART B + C OF BLACKENED AND HOW THE MURDER PLAYED OUT BELOW IN REBLOG
Why the Chapter 2 Tetro Motive is Good Game Design
Spoilers for Tetro Danganronpa Chapter 2!!!!!!
The Bleeding is an exceptionally well-written motive for Tetro Danganronpa for the reason of it being a motive that compels quite literally everyone to murder, and not only murder but perform a murder in such a way that considers EVERYONES individual relationships with each other.
What is the Bleeding?
the bleeding is a motive where three contestants are selected as Bleeding. If a Bleeding student kills and gets away with it, all other Bleeding students graduate as well. Every day, the Bleeding can perform a sabotage that, if successful, will allow them to choose another student to become a Bleeding with them (to a maximum of 6 students/almost half the student body).
How does the Bleeding motivate murder in the Bleeding students?
the motivation for Bleeding students to kill is obvious; statistically if the game were to play through the 5 murder trials as normal, only about 6 people will survive (excluding any double murders or suicides). This is the same amount as the maximum number of Bleeding Students, meaning if you are wanting to survive the killing game (which you probably are), you are probably going to want to pick the option that lets you not only leave the game early but also CHOOSE which students get out with you.
you have accomplices who can cover for you, lie, deflect, or help you with the murder. even if one gets caught, you only need to worry if they're the blackened
fears of non-bleeding students murdering early to try and frame the bleeding
looks at Ogura, Ikeda, and Tsukigata. looks at Ninomiya, Yokoi, and Tei. looks at Sou, Nischiguchi, and Kumada. looks at-
It should be noted that the Bleeding as a motive also goes into the theme of "in-groups vs out-groups", which was touched on a bit in Chapter 1.
How does the Bleeding motivate murder in anyone who isn't a Bleeding?
if you are NOT the Bleeding, and you know they are getting higher in numbers, you are heavily incentivized to commit a murder. it would be extremely difficult to solve a murder with 6 people working directly against you, so your best bet would be to kill someone and try to pin the blame on the bleeding. after all, no one is really going to believe the bleeding students if they say they didn't do it.
game theory dictates you should murder, because the Bleeding actually has a way to GUARENTEE their success in murder (more on that later)
What determines how a new Bleeding is Chosen?
one major fact of choosing who will become a new Bleeding student are the student relationships. Bleeding students probably are not going to want to leave their friends to die, so they are more likely to choose them
HOWEVER, Bleeding students still want to commit a murder so they may not choose anyone who might sabotage them. or betray the bleeding to try and keep other non-bleeding students alive. or a bleeding student may want another non-bleeding student to escape, but theres only a limited number of Bleeding studetns allowed and now its complicated and oh goodness me that is a lot to consider
What murders might be committed with this motive?
By Non-Bleeding Students
mentioned before; kill someone, frame the bleeding. Game Theory dictates this would be the best choice for you if you have not been picked as the Bleeding and they are almost at 6
By Bleeding Students; Oh Boy
By the time the Bleeding Students reach max capacity, 6/14 students are bleeding. That is almost half the student body. All the Bleeding really need to do is kill two people to create a tied vote, proceed with the debate as usual, then have everyone vote a single person. They would be almost guaranteed to win, unless the blackened is discovered and EVERY non-bleeding student votes unanimously for them
Make it so even the Bleeding don't know who committed the murder. For example, theres a box with 6 random pills in it. 5 pills are harmless, one is poison. Each Bleeding takes a pill, not knowing which one is which, then mix it into a vial and poison someone. If even the Bleeding don't know who it is, then the non-Bleeding still need to unanimously vote AND get a 1/6 random chance correct.
A Bleeding student kills themselves, and other Bleeding students make it look like a murder afterwards. No one is going to select a dead student as a blackened because it will automatically be assumed to be a murder.
Multiple Bleeding students stab a person at the same time. Bit of a repeat, but again obfuscates culpability.
Bleeding students can just mess with the crime scene during the investigation, or ambush and kidnap investigating students to take away evidence. It doesn't really matter if some students are found to be Bleeding, because they COULD be the blackened or they might not be
anyways, in short - really like this motive. good game theory, lots of possibilities, lots of logic-based deductions possible
also
yokoi is definitely a bleeding. discovered the sink tampering, and has access to kumadas room who DOES NOT LOCK HER BATHROOM to steal her outfits. That or its kumada. it has to be one of the two or both because no one else could have stolen their outfits. i have a 6/14 chance thats like 45% chance of being right
also before we get body discovery this week or next week, here are my predictions:
one of the main groups is going to get broken up, at LEAST, due to either one being a victim or a blackened
Victim
Tsukigata - the character development does not bode well for his survivability
Denden - I was going to say something like Maekawa or Shishikura (as the blackened) but I think that is a MAYBE. I think Denden just because I think if a group was making a decision for who to kill, they would choose the person who would probably follow a note saying "meet me at 5PM in the medical wing totally not a trap - Hirose"
Blackened
Isoda - i know they seem like a chapter 4, but I think from what we've seen from Isoda and how they play the game (hiding in room, sticking to one person), I think they would be tempted to commit a murder (or would be a bleeding)
Niyomiya - still no update on that kitchen blood from the first trial. he needs to get out soon because I don't think he has any insulin
well well well, if it isn't me eating my own words
i was probably wrong. Either Tsukigata or Sou are dying this chapter, and here is why.
Tsukigata - character development. easy
Sou - I think the fire alarm was to mess with Sou. Either Sou tried to kill someone, and a person used the fire alarm to hide themselves, or someone used the fire alarm to hide themselves from Sou to kill him.
also. there may not be any bleeding. reason 1: why would the sabotages be automatic and performed by monomoko? if the bleeding need to agree to the sabotage, then someone would have seen the rabbit/why have untraceable sabotage.
reason 2: why would monomoko have to ASK the staff to make sure the motive was being understood correctly? the motive is quite cut and dry, so having to ask makes it seem like the motive is actually making students THINK the motive is the bleeding when really its just the infighting from the fake motive.
reason 3: why would the game organizers let 6 people immediately win if needed? they all (at least in tetro pink) seem to expect the blackened to die until the final chapter and want to keep the game running as long as possible. (have a theory on this/why the game is happening to keep the audience enraptured to prevent the tetro world from dying but thats for another post)
by the way, I have seen some people point out that the episodes seem to focus on people who the game organizers/monomoko personally view as interesting. I don't know how true this is, but if it is true then maybe Ikeda will win as a blackened? just spitballing tbh
its going to be quite a day today, huh?
its not going to be shishikura. its not going to be shishikura. its not going to...
Sou fire alarm gambit go go go
Mathias trying to push people to murder to cover up his own or soemthign but that doesn't make sense but i really hope its not shishikura. Because i am in denial. which is a river in Egypt.
I got a paper due I gotta sleep

(have a theory on this/why the game is happening to keep the audience enraptured to prevent the tetro world from dying but thats for another post)
by the way, I have seen some people point out that the episodes seem to focus on people who the game organizers/monomoko personally view as interesting. I don't know how true this is, but if it is true then maybe Ikeda will win as a blackened? just spitballing tbh
It doesn't really matter if some students are found to be Bleeding, because they COULD be the blackened or they might not be
anyways, in short - really like this motive. good game theory, lots of possibilities, lots of logic-based deductions possible

yokoi is definitely a bleeding. discovered the sink tampering, and has access to kumadas room who DOES NOT LOCK HER BATHROOM to steal her outfits.
