I got Chicken some little kitty stairs because she was looking like she might appreciate an easier way up and down from the couch and the bed, and she wasn’t super into at first but now she’s quite the stair master!! :)

when I was probably about 11 my dad got me a Hit Clips Video Jockey, a wonderful device full of pre-loaded 1-second clips of dancing figures and star wipe transitions on a Tomagatchi-esque screen. I would sit in my room for hours syncing up the pixelated dancers with 60 seconds of Faith Hill’s “The Way You Love Me” or Destiny Child’s “Jumpin’ Jumpin’” until I was satisfied with my masterpiece. I’m not sure if I ever subjected my family to my art or if I would have been too shy (more likely)

if someone out there has a half a brain they’ll bring back hit clips. you know what the young kids are obsessed with these days? y2k. trinkets. physical media. the 60 second song clips will feel just like a “tiktok” who needs a whole song. what music do the children like these days, benson boone? my coworker’s 19 year old daughter just went to a benson boone concert last night. imagine the tinny dulcet sounds of mystical magical moonbeam ice cream coming at you through a single earbud. someone get me on the phone with Target.

update from this: I took my car in and the problem was a cracked sensor that needed to be replaced, which was covered under warranty thank god, but then the service advisor calls me back to say “hey good news! well, weird news… but ultimately good!” and tells me that when they did a test drive they heard a squealing noise that turned out to be from a DEARLY DEPARTED SQUIRREL that had torn up my serpentine belt. hello?? squirrel in my car???? unrelated to my check engine light btw just an extra bit of flair I suppose. anyway I also wasn’t charged for that, idk man.
