Happy Pride Month!!
I wanted to draw something with rainbows for the kids I work with, and Rainbow dash is the character to come to mind. Also helps that they are very queer coded. On that, it's actually pretty funny. In the history of online MLP discourse Rainbow Dash's identity was a big debate. Mostly because little kids didn't know better, and grown men loved screaming. So, while there were some obvious hints that some people read and pointed out with her character. Others would complain about that reading and insist she is straight. Claiming others only called her gay as a joke due to her rainbow hair. To be clear, some people were just doing that. It was the 2010’s, but the closet she lived in was made of glass. Anyhow, with rampant debate, and people feeling their favorite character was being insulted. They tried to counter with emotional appeals. Several online edits, and fanart depicting rainbow dash as sad because people think she's a lesbian, and others making her act homophobicly. Because the visual is kind of funny. This became a big meme with people reposting and remaking these with varying intents. Some people were just being bigoted, but some just thought it was funny. Which it was, but something to consider is that a lot of the memes were from children. Kids project hard onto their favorite characters. And a lot of kids were insecure of their own identities. Seeing their fav, who they saw as themselves being called gay was upsetting. Truth be told, they didn't all act reasonably, but they were kids. We give some leeway to their silliness. A good deal have grown up and realized they were being bigoted. Rainbow Dash is now almost unquestionably seen as queer. Though some adults are still weird as shit about it.
Anyhow, I really didn't have much attachment to the character, or Mlp. I saw some of it with my sister as an adult. A lot of the fandom history I got second hand. Still I always find the discourse around it so interesting because it was a juggernaut in the online space. Still a massive fandom, but definitely more quiet than it used to be. What strikes me as most interesting about it's fandom is it's artistic curiosity. So much of the fandom is built up on fan interpretation and remixing.
You ever remember you can just draw anything, regardless of how stupid?
It's Autism Awareness Month!!

Happy Valentine's
Here a MLP Redrawing as a JoJo chapter...
This is most of the first page. I'm unsure when the rest will be out. I was hoping to be done on the holiday, but I've just been so busy...
Trying to learn Araki's style just for an mlp shitpost
Starlight and Trixie in a Jojo inspired redraw
I'm so rusty at water coloring that I kept this very simple. I have also been meaning to practice more textures and character design. So, I'm starting a short series to fill in this weird picture stand. And I just love fashion and want to do more research on it.

I work in an elementary school, I've been making these doodles during breaks to decorate the space. Now reaching 100 I don't really know what to follow it up with.. well I'll figure it out in January when I return from the holiday break!
A bit of context, this is for an elementary school.
Y'all remember in Hamilton when Alexander released the Renalds Pamphlet to get ahead at the upcoming controversy he was going to be in? Well trump has the funniest opportunity right now. Genuinely imagine him trying to write a defense just before the files drop!
Got inspired by pizza990 for this sketch, I just thought those people needed more force
