Reminds me of when I was coming to Australia for the first time and was pissed at myself for not downloading any music for the 14 hr flight.

But then they ended up having the Backpackers album by Childish Gambino and Coldplays Parachutes album on the lil plane tv and I listened to them both over and over like the whole flight

Im proud of the person I'm becoming but I really hate who I was.

Ive always felt like such a fraud because I was hiding who I was from everyone. It got really easy to lie because I was constantly selling this idea that I was someone else. I was a liar, even to myself. But then that toxic trait carried over into relationships and Im haunted by some of the things I've done.

Now I'm face to face with the demons I've been running from all my life, and I'm out of lies. All there is left is the truth.

I wish I could tell myself as a kid that I didn't have to bury this all so deep. That it didn't all have to be an ugly secret. I wish that I could have saved him.
