To say that we were on and off is the understatement of the year. Its fair to say that your impact on my life was quite severe. I loved you, yes that’s true, But I’m the one that got away. Don’t think for a second that it could ever be you. You didn’t deserve me, When it came to our relationship, to us, To the choices made, there was no ‘us’ just you. You yearn to do all these death defying stunts, And didn’t consider my feelings, Not once. You used me, You abused me I now understand that their can never be an us, That I can never give you my trust. That you will always put you first. That you will never love me as much as I loved you, After everything we’ve been through. I know you’ll see one day, But it’ll be too late. Because I’m the one that got away, Not you.
