it’s easy to forget that it all ads up. It’s amazing how much time is spent on production that never gets seen. Decided in the last few months to start taking some screenshots of stuff i was working on and post some some of the results.

Ok so after a bit of work it's Ready. This project has been at the back of my head for such a long time and it only took going to Liminka and being around the right people to make this thing happen. I could recant the whole experience but i think it'd better to let it speak for itself. Specail thanks to Niilo Kämäräinen for working so ridiculously hard on this (he has pretty much directed it, as well as doing all the camera work and editing). Also specail thanks to Tessa Astre, Raine Körkkö and Panu Hänätinen for making this possible (and you know for the whole thing where we lifted a 300kg piano in the rain...)
The final piece consists of three seperate video tracks in a playlist. Here's the link (might be some adjustments still but this is pretty much the final thing).

used the remesh modifier in blender to create this from Tre’s design: see His image below ( and see his website here for more pixels http://cutlaska.tumblr.com/). The remesh modifier is an amazing tool, especially for animation. With the only limitation being that it can only cope with block colour so adding any details not in relief seems impossible (any one have any ideas of some sort of solution to this? It would be really nice to get some of the details like the pixels on the characters face, shoes and hat in there).

was going through an archive of old work and came across this again. It's a shame this never got made in the end. These animations where a moving production still for a game. The project fell through in the end due to bad management and, well the usual lack of payment problems , But it was fun whilst it lasted. art direction by myself Background by Tom mead, animation by Chris Halls and myself . We made a good team.
On a separate note i have a bunch of old work from a really long time ago in .SWF and .FLA format that seem to have been corrupted on my external HD somehow. Does anyone by any chance have any good methods for recovering anything in this kind of situation?
