Chaos, Like Every Other Day
A day like this was expected. The lady of ice knew that there would be a day where the contributions of studies from her land would be scarce - meaning she would have to go beyond Runeterra in order to further her ice-bending faculties. The plan itself was scary, but the cryomancer knows what she’s doing. She knows it is necessary. A necessary risk.
Alone in her travel, Idara set out to the borders of Runeterra’s land, and without thinking second thoughts, surfing atop the waters freezing below her. Many of the elders she has spoken to had told of lands other than only Runeterra. The earth isn’t just one land, of course. None had ever dared to voyage out of the land, as it was already enough for them and some had already perished in their expeditions. The masses have already used aircraft and buoyant means of transport, but none were successful. Though global teleportation is possible, so there’s that.
Streaming across the seas for hours, there was nothing but mist. No fear as the woman solved it by simply clearing them out of her way. But as she delved deeper into the unknown, the mist seemed to thicken, that the cold winds she invoked could no longer clear the place with ease. Soon, she arrived to a large city. A modern city, that is.
The great mushroom-shaped colossus of mist is what first caught Idara’s eyes, something about this place was distinctively different from what she had seen. Hostile calls of different voices sounded later, interrupting her curious gaze from the mysterious cloud.
Boats–just as she suspected. Obviously a new presence just random from the deep expanse of the ocean would pique the locals’ suspicion. Not wanting any trouble, the ice below the Iceborn shifted her to a different direction where least would notice her. Successfully, she infiltrated the city. Though some had seen her just land casually using ice, it was rather odd that the people.. and.. creatures? didn’t give much reaction to her entrance.
A deep breath is a starter, to calm her mind from the very alien environment around her. Moments after, her stomach rumbled, demanding sustenance. Understandable as she did travel for quite a while. So, she went out looking for food.
While casually searching, her eyes wandered everywhere. From the tallest skyscrapers to the noisy bars. Reminded her much of Piltover, not much special. Different creatures passed by as well, in both the land and the sky. The ones in the sky, however, seemed as if they’re just animals. This place was absolutely otherworldly to her.
Finally, Idara reached the streets and began spotting various restaurants. Most didn’t catch her liking though. Bars? Drunkards are annoying. Fast food places? Too much oil.. probably? A diner… didn’t interest her much, but it’ll have to do.
A pleasant chime rang as Idara entered. The place wasn’t lavish, she could tell, but hopefully the service would suffice. Customers eyed her for a few moments, and Idara could feel their scrutiny crawling behind her back disturbingly until it faded later. Perhaps she stood out somehow.
Vivian, the one who seems to run the diner, greeted herself and followed the usual ‘what would you like?’ question.
“Coffee.. and.. a sandwich, I suppose. This one.” Idara responded normally with a finger pointed on the menu card on the counter.
A single nod was replied back from Vivian, moving away to prepare what the lady wanted. There was much time waiting, but Idara couldn’t think of what to do for the time being, so she just sat there, with her elbow leaning down as the side of her chin rests on her palm. The other hand just tapping on the counter lightly, playing along with the song jazzing in her mind.

“It’s more or less, really. From the most colossal elementals to the living nightmares. Lurking into many different parts of where I’m from. If you’re familiar with the land Runeterra, well, there’s lots of societies and weird shit going on there, so I guess this place doesn’t surprise me much.”
Piltover, a land of progress and technology. Bilgewater, pirates and ships galore. Noxus, the land of domination and power. Demacia, where all anti-magic and justice thrives. The Shadow Isles, lurking with the darkest of creatures and wraiths. Runeterra contained all sorts of weird shit because of all the differences each area has. Idara had spent her life in that land, and has sailed to those other lands to see what Runeterra had in store. She hasn’t traveled to some other places yet though.
So this kid has been driven by the luck of his friends. Knowing this place, his friends must have lots of potential. Money alone shouldn’t be their only stronghold in their strength. Anyone can probably raid them if money was their only factor. They must have something else.
Finishing her sandwich, Idara spoke up once more.
“Hey could you-”
BOOM!
Before she was able to finish her request, the roof of the cafe had broken down, smashed, and all into debris and rubble. Some of the customers had easily run away, some left injured, Vivian distressed to see her cafe wrecked. Such a waste too that Idara hadn’t finished her coffee. Now it’s all broken and spilled on the dust. What caught her attention later was an enormous aircraft above them. So it seems they left something weighted for the innocent cafe. At least it wasn’t a bomb.
Rising up from the wreck, Idara stood her focus on the enemy and kept a stance to ready herself. This must be the devastation this kid said he was used to, the unexpected and unpredictable kind.
