Okay, so going to an SCA camping event in November. I need clothes for 5 days. The goal is 3 days of viking and 2 days of generic-ass 14th cent western europe. In other words, fitted gowns that layer, but I can't currently be bothered to fuss about exact necklines when the goal is Dressed.
So current status, tho not necessarily the order I will wear things:
Viking 1: Technically done, though my brooches are in a Very Safe Place, and I'm not fussed about having period footwear. (mint green)
Viking 2: Still finishing some seams on the underdress. Otherwise using stuff from V1. (black)
Viking 3: Underdress cut out. Otherwise using stuff from V1. (yellow)
Bonus accessories: Bought fabric for a coat. Also want a hood. Also want a woven belt.
14th cent 1: Need fabric for a shift. Have fabric for underdress. Can fudge without an overdress, because that's gonna cost $$$ for fabric and the shift will keep things decent, but oooh, I want. Have cloak but might steal viking coat on the grounds of it being a lil easier to move in. (green)
14th cent 2: Need fabric for a shift. Have underdress fabric. Would use #1 overdress. (blue)
Bonus accessories: I have fabric for an apron that miiiight be a lil more 15th cent, but whatever. Have fabric for a hood. Will cross-use the woven belt I also want for viking. Saw some cute sewn split mittens I might also try to make.
This seems very possible, but I also craft for a living, so..... we'll see how much time I can carve out for me.
And of course, I also need to replace some of my camping kit, so that's also going to be $$$ away from costuming.
