Ever since the turtles remember, yokai and humans have been two separate civilizations, aware of each other, yet in unending hostility, never crossing paths as dictated by their laws.

Hidden within the human city, they didn't believe they would be able to meet the world outside of their little corner.

Until an announcement from the authorities, finally, gives them the chance to see what they have missed for years and...

Wait, what do you mean magic is real?!

✨ WELCOME TO THE RESURGENCE OF MAGIC AU MASTERPOST! ✨

Resurgence of Magic is a Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles AU greatly inspired by the magical girl genre, where the isolated turtles have to do a lot of self-reflection, while they save the human and yokai cities as the next Magical Guardians.

TRIGGER WARNINGS: Discrimination (this is a main theme here), blood/gore (moderate, and if not, censored), death, suicidal ideation, possession/corruption, hallucinations, manipulation, eye trauma (censored), kidnapping, experimentation, non-consensual use of drugs.

More will be added as I keep writing and developing.

To avoid confusion, I clarify that to tell them apart between other versions of themselves across the multiverse, I usually refer to them as their hero names!

Raph: Dragon Spike (also called Spikes by his brothers during battle).

Leo: Starflower.

Donnie: Bug Catcher (Leo calls him Pixels during battle to mess with him).

Mikey: Gryffin.

2026 ART FIGHT ATTACKS

Got nerfed during july as always + super busy, but I'm glad I broke the streak of only doing two attacks per year! 8!! Yaaaay!!!

All of them were traditional and the last one is a gouache paint with final touches made with colored pencils.

It's time to post my last contributions to the @/weeklymagmas. I want to thank everyone who allowed me to have a wonderful experience meeting new moots, making new friends and getting to know better the TMNT community. I've decided to move on, but it was fun to draw alongside people most weekends 💖.

My AU Leo is ace, homoromantic and arospec, because majorly projecting on your favorite guy is great.

And as a bonus, people got a little teaser of AU Usagi / Leosagi ✨

For this one I participated in one single round of Drawing Games. I don't remember the prompt clearly, it was related to a grocery store run and my mind immediately went to the toilet paper crisis of 2020, iykyk.

Albums / Music Videos

First, I chose the Evolve album from Imagine Dragons, I always loved it a lot, and Believer is on my AU playlist fun fact.

Next, I recreated the Ghost Gardens album cover by Unlike Pluto. I just wanted to do anything Unlike Pluto related since I really love the songs.

These are all AU beans and the little creatures.

This took so incredibly long to do, it had so many details, help-

IT'S STARFLOWER AGAIN /silly.

Anyway, I always adored this album cover and Breath of Life has accompanied me for years, so here you go. I did not finish this one in time for export, it took two extra days and many hours.

I love leaving ominous things about my AU without context.

I don't know if I did it right... so I probably did good. It's harder to draw a OC "poorly" more then i thought it be. I had fun doing silly doodles of the OC's though.

Starflower made his way up his starry stairs to go to Kaiju Leo's line of vision.

'Hey! Congratulations for getting to the second round! Me and my brothers were hired to assist and be moral support for a few competitors and you guys are one of them. I do think you are already very cool on your own, but if you need help with anything, you can let us know!

And... You don't mind if I stay to talk for a bit...? Or if I ask you questions?'

That last bit was said in a way more shy manner, because he genuinely thinks Kaiju Leo is one of the coolest ever and he's toning down his fascination as much as possible (and failing a bit).

No need to be shy. Leo...isn't humble but he understands he is fascinating.!

As a Leo does, Starflower is doing his best to act cool and collected, yet that excited tail wag is not stopping.

And never stopped during the entire conversation.

He asked questions like 'what from your hero origin story are you cool with sharing?', 'do you have amazing powers?', 'did you ever have to fight anything as big as you?' and 'how is your outside world back in your home?'

Leon chuckled at his tiny counterpart's obvious excitement.

"Well it's a bit of a long story, Starflower, but I'll try to make it simple. Let me start from the beginning."

He started with Draxum's mutating him and his brothers with their dad's DNA. He told him how their Dad tried to raise them for as long as he could but could only do so much for four giant growing kaiju babies and had to rely on KDF. He explained how they lived in secret on KDF property and were trained how to fight kaiju. He went into detail on how they were forced to wear costumes and pretend to be giant robots when they first started out. He sheepishly revealed how he accidentally revealed his kaiju identity during a battle and after that they were able to come out of secrecy. He told Starflower about how they had been unable to use their powers when in disguise because they didn't want the Hamato clan to know about them, but once they came out as kaiju they were free to use them!

"I have Hamato ninpo, which I guess a lot of us have here? But I can also use my tail as a sword! I can make the fin really hard and sharp and even open portals with it! It's a great way to cover my back in combat."

He told Starflower that most of the time they fight kaiju even bigger than them! But it's fine because they're "super strong" and have powers.

"And the world is…fun? People love us fortunately, but it can be a a lot to have so many eyes on us all the time, but it's still better than being treated like a monster!"

He shrugged, nearly knocking Starflower off his shoulder, before continuing.

"Now, how about you, kid? Your powers seem different. Is it ninpo? How do they work?"

Starflower couldn't stop thinking how this backstory sounded so cool. Mutated with DNA? Trained to fight kaiju even bigger than them? The tail can be a sword? He was so glad to know that the people from the city accepted them too, that gave him a little bit of hope.

''Now, how about you, kid? Your powers seem different. Is it ninpo? How do they work?''

''Well, it's not like I'm back in my world, so I got nothing to hide.''

Starflower started with giving the context of how he and his brothers found their powers in the first place. Their whole lives they lived in a place called the Perimeter, which was located in the human city. Yokai are not allowed in the human city, and viceversa, so they never had an opportunity to go beyond the Perimeter up until recently.

''Suddenly yokai are allowed to go around? We don't have much clues of the entire reason behind that, but with April we took our chance, and that's when we started seeing weird things. I saw star-shaped flowers sprouting from the ground and guiding me somewhere, then I found my brothers being guided by unusal stuff to the same spot too!''

They met with the spirit of their Gram-Gram, who told them that as Hamato they are the next chosen to wield maho.

''In other words, magic is real! It was a crazy reveal for us. We didn't have much time to process the news before the magic assigned us conduits.''

''Four tiny little guys! With them we can transform and use our magic powers! My pal is Jupiter, a tiny unicorn, and they give me a bunch of star related abilities that I'm stiiiill figuring out.

But so far, I know I can step on thin air with those stars you saw earlier and go around with portals! Also star-shaped, of course.''

''We are still very new to this Magical Guardians thing, and so far I think we have a mixed reception... But I'm hoping it doesn't take that long to get to the point where you and your brothers are, Big Leon-

Oh, sorry, is it cool to call you that?''
