We seemed to have found ourselves in a rut, again. This time it concerns my own health. As most of you know, Mike was in a serious car accident last October and has been unable to work since. I have been the sole income for us since the accident. While we are awaiting his settlement from the accident, it won’t come soon enough. I have to have surgery on August 17th, and I will be unable to work the week (possibly more) following my surgery. As you all know, bills can pile up fast, and though I am working as much overtime as I can before my surgery, I’m absolutely terrified I won’t have enough to keep us tied over until I am able to go back to work. I’m not asking for much. Just a little help to keep us afloat after my surgery.
The reason I am having surgery: It was discovered that there are high grade lesions on my cervix. They have to do what is called a Cold Knife CONE, and they will biopsy the tissue they take. This is our second cervical cancer scare in 2 years, and the first time (in my life) that I have had to have surgery. If it wasn’t going to knock me out for a week (or more), I wouldn’t ask for any help.
Not only will I be unable to work, I will also be unable to do grocery shopping, laundry, house cleaning, driving, or anything that requires me to need to do a lot of moving and bending. So not only will this be hard on me financially, it will also be hard on me mentally and emotionally.
If unable to donate, please share!
Whatever is donated to us, we will give twice the amount back to a charity when the settlement is done.
