Ugh, that sucks. Mhm, Iāve been going through that a lot lately. Wanna talk about it?
Really? What's been going on with you?Ā And yeah, I don't know. You know how I was having that fight with my family before? Well I came home, but now it's like I don't even belong there. I don't belong anywhere and it just kind of sucks.

Stop playing the victim Blaine, youāre impossible to work with. We give you too much attention and ask for you to come home, you get sad, we donāt give you enough attention, you complain. Iām sorryĀ for having things to do. Thatās fine though, Iāll drop everything to sit and watch a lame movie with you. What movie do you wan to watch, Blaine? Do you want to braid my hair while youāre at it? Oh, I know, we can make pop tarts and talk about boys. Fuck, who needs further education when your brother wants attention.
Stop it. Just forget it, okay? I'm sorry. Forget I said anything.

Opening Night || Rachel & Blaine

Rachel picked up the flowers once more before sitting down, and she exhaled a sigh, nodding her head. āYeah, youāre right,ā She looked up at Blaine with wide, teary eyes. āI donāt know why Iām nervous. I donāt get nervous, but I.. just donāt want to let anyone down. You, the crowd, myself. Itās all so - I donāt know.ā She sighed, biting her lip and taking a deep breath, trying to focus on that. āItās intimidating. Everyone I love is out there, you know? I just want to impress them.ā She leaned into the flowers in order to smell them, unable to keep herself from smiling at that. āThank you for the flowers, B. Theyāre stunning. And I - are you ready to sing with me? Iām really excited. I think thatāll be the number the crowd eats up.ā
Blaine Anderson
"You won't let anyone down. I promise." Blaine shifted, looking at Rachel with big, sympathetic eyes. "Listen to me, okay? You are a star. You are amazing. You are going to blow everyone away with your voice and your stage presence tonight. And even if you didn't, no one would be disappointed. Like you said, everyone you love is out there. No matter what, those people will still love you." Blaine leaned over and hugged Rachel again, hoping that his words at least lessened her nerves. "You're very welcome. And of course I am, we rehearsed for hours on this song. I think it'll be great too, but not better than the rest of the show. Either way, it'll be fun." Blaine finished with a smile, raising his shoulders in excitement.
Let me know when you get that whole time machine thing going, then.
You'll be the first to know. I'll take you anywhere you'd like to go, as long as it's not on a Monday.
If your week ends on Monday, then yeah. Itās totally over.
Wouldn't that be amazing?Ā
Whatās up, buttercup?
Midterms. A life. Do you ever just have one of those weeks?

All Iām doing is focusing on my education. Iām not the one making his sisterās good study habits about him. Of course I want you here, and you being here means more to me than anything but you canāt honestly expect me to sit with you all day and talk about how proud I am of you, I have my own life and things I need to be getting on with and right now this competition is one of them. What the hell? I care more about everyone than myself, and not even you can say any different.
I'm not asking you to do that! And I'm not making your study habits about me. I'm just so alone in this house and no one notices andāā you know what, forget it. Just forget it.
Right. Then, weāll have weekend forever. Iād be down for that. Though, Iām not sure Iād ever get anything done.
No, it's a perfect idea.Ā

As soon as Rachel saw Blaine, she couldnāt help the small smile that appeared over her worried frown. She took the flowers from him and held them close, nodding her head. āIām fine, Iām fine, itās just - what if they donāt like me?ā She asked, her voice shaking. āI mean, usually people think Iām good, but what if this crowd boos me? What if they throw tomatoes, or something?ā She stood up and placed her flowers on her chair before she started to pace back and forth around the room, taking deep breaths. āThis shouldnāt be going through my mind right now, but it is, and I have no idea why itās not going away. Oh, god, Blaine.ā She brought her hand up to her neck, closing her eyes as she paced.
Blaine Anderson
"Hey, Rachel, hey." Blaine said, grabbing Rachel by her shoulders. "Stop it. Okay? You're okay." Blaine pulled Rachel into a hug, rubbing her back gently before pulling away and letting out a small laugh. "You're nervous. I'd never thought I'd see that. But hey, that's okayāā you're allowed to be nervous. Why don't you sit down for a minute and calm down?" Leaning her to the chair, Blaine leaned up against the counter close by. "You're amazing, Rachel. Seriously. You are the most talented person I know, and you were born to perform. No one is going to throw tomatoes at you." Blaine laughed, thinking about how ridiculous that sounded.Ā

If you skipped over Mondays, Tuesdays would feel like the Mondays you skipped over. Just, you know, food for thought.
Maybe I should skip over Tuesdays too. And Wednesdays. Maybe Thursdays also.
Not even close.
When I'm rich and famous, I'm inventing a time machine so I can skip over Mondays for the rest of my life.Ā
Itās barely began.
Don't remind me.

Rachel Berry
Rachelās nerves werenāt going to get the best of her. She wouldnāt let them. She was patiently waiting for Blaine backstage - they still had a little over an hour before curtain - but she was freaking out. Sheās never had a formal performance before, and as stupid as that sounded, it was true. What if people hated her? What if she cracked, or choked? What if - but she was Rachel Berry, right? Sheād be okay. She just needed to calm down, somehow.
Blaine Anderson
Callbacks was still rather empty when Blaine arrived. A bouquet of flowers in hand, he made his way backstage to Rachel, excitement already bubbling inside of him. This night was going to be amazing; Rachel was going to be amazing. He was sure of it. Finding his way through the small hallways to Rachel's dressing room, he knocked on the door before walking in. Grinning, he offered her the flowers. "I know I am supposed to wait until after the show to give you these, but I know you'll deserve them either way." Blaine slowed down, taking a good look at Rachel, who seemed to be nervous (does Rachel Berry even get nervous?). "And you seem like you could use them. Are you okay?"
