But I think I was only right about two things: Kitten is mine, and I am his, and for better or for worse, I will never leave this place. Most of the people who come to Paradise Pleasure Cove aren't in it for the long haul. They show up, have a few laughs, whip a few slaves, and then when things start to get complicated, they go running back to the mainland and their 'real lives.' But for me, life on this island is as real as it gets. I've cut most of my ties to the life I left behind; I have a job here now; my fellow Council members are some of my closest friends, and I'm in a very loving and committed "throuple" with two of the best men I've ever known: Sebastian Smythe and Hunter Clarington. Most of all, I'm not nearly done training my claimed slave Kitten - even though he's just about perfect. In another life, he was called "Kurt." Now he's just called "mine." And in a way, I'm his too. Paradise can be a dark and dangerous place, and I've seen a lot of bad things happen to a lot of good people. I've seen a lot of bad things happen to bad people, too. But for better or for worse, I'm not leaving. This place is my home now, and these people are my family.
