★ My end of year project for first year design for stage and screen in IADT. ★

We were given an art movement in class and from that we had to make something that we could show case at the end of year show.

I got Fauvism which was an art movement from 1904-1908 in France, and who Henri Matisse, André Derain, and Georges Braque were a part of. It concisted of paintings done in vibrant colours, simple shapes and bold brush strokes. Les Fauves painted with their emotion rather then realism. They looked at a scene and painted what they felt, in a very relaxed, non-uniform way.

One of our projects in college was to collaborate with 3rd year film to make a puppet film.

We choose the ‘The Tale of Three Brothers’ by J.K Rowling to do our film on. For this project I was the Project Manager for the Design Team this meant that as part of a team I designed and made the set and puppets, and made sure everything was done on time and to the highest standard. I also collaborated with the director and film crew to make sure that the style we wanted to show was visible.
