just got home from work and my next shift is in like, eight hours sO i’m gonna pass out now but i should be around tomorrow afternoon! so sorry for this ugh.
“i know i usually say these things are whack but my fortune just said i’ll be rich within the next 30 days,” the brunette says as she drops two bottles of wine into the shopping cart. “now we can stay here and mope about reality or we can get wasted tonight and watch ugly sitcoms.” she says with the biggest smile.
“and what are you gonna do with your newfound wealth when it comes? any thoughts?” he mused. “hey, where’s your optimism? a lot can happen in 30 days,” blake pointed out, eyeing the two bottles. “but you won’t be catching me saying no to wine. or tv. ever. so sure, let’s go with that.”
[ & ; * - jack falahee ] isn’t it weird how close { blake donovan } resembles { jack falahee }? damn, i heard they are { twenty two } years old and a { senior } studying { french and italian }. rumor has it { blake } is { pansexual } and is a { member } of { delta sigma chi }. i heard they are known as { the paracosmist } and their party anthem is { believer } by { imagine dragons }.
heyyy, what’s up? i’m julie and fINALLY posting my intro, so sorry for the delay. anyway, lemme introduce y’all to a lil bit about blake here and come to me for all the plots!
blake’s from manhattan and lived there his entire life with his father, a luxury properties and real estate broker, and younger sister. his mom was a fashion model but eventually retired and co-owns a successful fashion magazine nowadays.
his parents had a very messy relationship and their marriage only lasted a few years before they got a divorce. blake was only four so he doesn’t really remember how life was like back then, just getting every other weekend at his mom’s. he gets along well enough with both of them but he’s closer to his dad.
and amazingly enough, his parents realized they actually work much better as friends?? sure, they still have their issues but things eventually worked themselves out over the years.
growing up, he had this notion that he’d end up joining his father’s firm because it was family and work with him and while he really liked luxury properties (who doesn’t?!), blake wasn’t exactly a fan of everything that went along with the job. getting older helped him realize that.
what was he a fan of? learning. blake just loved (still does) to absorb as much information about things as he possibly could and being the best while at it.
history, other cultures and languages always fascinated him and over the years, he took pleasure in learning how to speak a handful of other languages, some more, others less fluently. he looooves traveling.
so things just naturally progressed to him figuring out that he actually wants to one of those privileged people to share their knowledge with others-- a teacher?? french and italian teacher, to be exact, which is basically his major. he’s currently a senior and he’s pretty eager to go on to his graduate degree.
he can be pretty chill about anything in his life EXCEPT SCHOOL. he’s obsessed with doing his best and being the best. no particular reason other than well, because he can??
his dad wasn’t at all disappointed about his choice because he knew real estate just wasn’t for blake. he did try talking blake out of it because he doesn’t think it’s exactly a stable or comfortable future (like the life he leads) buuut he didn’t win that amicable argument.
he lived a pretty guarded and safe life since he was little so after he moved out and started college, blake took it upon himself to challenge himself to get out of his comfort zone more. he definitely isn’t the wild type but he’s pretty much up for anything as long as it doesn’t interfere with school.
speaking of his home life, he’s layla evans’ stepbrother! @gtglayla
his father never brought his girlfriends into his kids’ lives but figuring out this was it, blake and his sister finally met their soon-to-be stepmother. a few meetings and weeks later, he met layla and that very same night, they found out their parents were getting married
it was a shock but he supported his dad nonetheless. but getting used to the idea was easier said than done so he’s still adjusting because it’s very recent. he’s trying to get closer to his now stepsister, though.
more about his personality-- he daydreams a lot? gets very lost in his own thoughts. so he comes off as shy or even rude at times, even though he never does it on purpose.
he’s actually very nice if you are nice to him too, otherwise lol bye. he won’t be rude but you won’t see him crawling back to you. doesn’t hold grudges but likes to look out for himself and he doesn’t like wasting his time.
PS: i’m not getting too much into his relationship with his sister because it will most likely be a wanted connection so i’m leaving that open!
