Ranking the MuTeLuv anthology segments
"Hi" by My Luck: They really put their best foot forward when starting out with this one. This was my introduction to SeaKeen and they did an incredible job. I understood all the characters (main & side) and loved each of them. It was just such a perfect mini arc.
Love Me if You Swear: GMMTV knows BL. I'm sad we didn't get to see OhmLeng but SurfJava are incredible in this both chemistry and acting-wise. It fit perfectly within 4 episodes and while I could have watched more, it didn't necessarily need it.
Hello, Is This Luck?: JanJingjing I adore you. Obviously the only GL segment had to be high. Great chemistry. I loved watching Jan's character slowly lose herself trying to perfect the numbers in her life. Would be higher if they ended up together at the end.
Love Lock: This one felt really different to me. It was very artistic and the way it was shot sort of reminded me of an indie film. I thoroughly enjoyed how Dew's character realized how/where he messed up with Jamie, changed, and they still didn't get back together in the end.
Not My Father!: I just enjoyed the plot of this one a lot. Taking down a cult is every girl's dream. I really liked Parn's character. The romance between her and Nani's character wasn't pushed but it was still very believable and sweet.
Dive Deva Mata: Despite the low rank, I actually did enjoy this segment. Lego and Fluke were standouts, and Mick was a cutie! I fell in love with MarcFluke during this arc as well. However, the gross out humor (especially in ep 2) nearly made me DNF this segment.
Fist Foot Fusion: The plot and characters captivated me the least in this segment. Unlike in NMF!, I felt like the romance was being pushed a little too much. I let all 4 episodes of this segment stack before watching it whereas the others I watched almost weekly.
Honestly, I didn't dislike or hate any segments of this anthology series and I hope they make more in the future! I would 100% tune in to a MuTeLuv season 2! I think it's a great way to let GMMTV's plethora of actors shine
