1ST ANNIVERSARY AS AN EDUCATION GRADUATE (TEACHER) 🎓🩵 (Batch 2025)
Surreal as it may seem; I graduated and got my Bachelor's Degree at the age of 26 in the year 2025. Who knew that the person who dreamed of becoming a doctor graduated as a teacher instead? No one. Not even myself and it was the biggest plot twist of my life.
I never dreamed of becoming an educator because when I was a kid, I've seen the unsurmountable stress that my grandmother and aunties have experienced. “I don't want to be a teacher", that's what I invoked on their faces. In 2013, at the age of 14 when I was still a seminarian, I became a catechist in our parish. I teach children how to pray and recite the Holy Rosary and other basic prayers of the church. Little did I know that in the next 8 years, I will be shifting to another course and that is teaching. So much for a person who is an introvert.
Who knew my fate would change in an instant in the brink of the pandemic? Neither do I look forward to it. I wanted to become a psychologist, but because my parents' business was almost bankrupt and when my mother had suffered a mild stroke, I sacrificed that dream.
In life, we always find ourselves at a crossroad of choices. It may seem like a clear path, but all of a sudden, your path will change in an instant. You never know that you'll develop love from it because there were already signs from the very beginning.
Like a bomb that is ticking at its peak of its explosion or like a thief in the night ready to strike its next victim; that's what it feels like when you're going to lose something, but it is also a sign to gain from it and stand up.
You never know that there is another path that has already been straightened for you and that is a blessing in disguise because you were already called to do it.
I had the time of my life fighting dragons with my loved ones.
