If your love was strong as my shame
I'd marry you and take your name
But it's not, you'll never get it
So I guess I'll just forget it

The Effects of Video Games.
Since the Varsity League players of Lyceum of Subic Bay are currently training to compete, here’s an insight to what video games are:
First let’s explain what a video game really is. Video games are interactive entertainment with electronically manipulating images produced by a computer program on a display screen. You can play via pc, phone, tablet, or on a console (a computerized electronic device specifically for playing video games). For some parents video games are only time eating or time wasting machines and some education experts think that video games are what corrupts the brain. Playing violent video games are easily blamed by the education experts and especially the media because they say that it is the reason why some young people become violent, but many psychologists and scientists arugue that video games can actually have many benefits.
Here are some of benefits of video games:
It improves the cognitive functions. It changes the brain structure the same way if you were playing piano; navigating the map and learning to read.
It also improves your decision making and accuracy. Video games prepare gamers to make quick decisions, it trains the brain to make fast decisions without losing accuracy.
It encourages team work. A lot of multiplayer games online need team work or team cooperation to win especially MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) games where each member has a different role in the team which plays a big role in winning the game.
Setting that aside, we can’t ignore that video games do have negative effects also if not used moderately:
Social isolation is one of the biggest issues. Teens are playing way too much video games rather than spending time outdoors. Video games are making teens socially isolated.
Poor academic performance. Playing too much can affect your school performances. Players may have a hard time focusing in school specially when he/she spend more than two hours gaming.
Adverse effect on health. Some teens don’t participate anymore in activities that can help them become fit or healthy. What’s worst is some palayers skip their meals just to play games which can lead to muscular and skeletal disorder, obesity, video induced sizures, nerve compression and eating disorders.
So the next time you plan on entering the gaming world, remember to do so in moderation! Too much of anything can be harmful so play a game or two and call it a day.

In the mind of a lazy person
Being a lazy person with a restless mind is a conundrum. While I want to chase my dreams, I also want to find them while sleeping.
I am ashamed, in ways, to talk about how lazy I am. There are factors involved in my laziness, including mental health issues and my physical ailments, but let’s face it, I’m still lazy, and would be even if I was in perfect health. Of course, there are opposing ideas to this, the most important being my desire to be successful with the work I love. I can say that if nothing else gets done, I will be responsible. As long as I can face the day, I can conquer being a lazy person long enough to keep from going under. I’m not pleased with this aspect of myself and wish that I was more active. Being a lazy person with a restless mind just keeps the war waging. But if it wasn’t for that war, I wouldn’t have the push I need to move forward. Seems okay, right? Not really, there are struggles when being a lazy person with a restless mind. Other than the obvious, of course. it’s hard enough being restless and yet not wanting to face the world, but to have outside influences become a distraction makes it even worse. It’s like walking through the thickest sludge, with a weight strapped to your ankle. First, you fight your lack of motivation, any mental imperfections and then you have to wrestle with other people, other responsibilities and then the weather. Outside influences also give you an excuse to be more of a lazy person. Examples are these excuses; “Oh, it’s too cold to go for a run”, or “I really need to organize my desk before starting that project.” Just say NO! Say no to procrastination because you are actually making distractions that aren’t there. The struggle is mine and mine alone. Despite the impact my issues have on others, it remains my demon. To have a restless mind, always searching, thinking and creating but with sometimes no will to carry out duties is heartwrenching. Some days I think about being stuck in this place and it makes me sob. It’s like being in a body that cannot do what it wishes and dreams about every single day. It takes strength sometimes to get out of bed in the morning. This condition, and it is a condition, takes willpower to balance. In order to keep a happy medium between not wanting to be active, tackling your daily responsibilities and having too many goals in mind, you have to find balance.

A PHOTOGRAPHER AND A SNIPER WALKS INTO A BAR…
“I use a tripod a lot.”
“Bipod works, too.”
“Huh, never thought of that. Steady is important. Don’t want to ruin a good shot.”
“Yeah, that’s the worst. When your subject moves unexpectedly just before you take it.”
“Wildlife?”
“Sometimes, but mostly people.”
“Yeah, me too.”
“There’s a lot of similarities though. Blending in, so they are not even aware that you are there.”
“Yes, that’s a whole skill in itself. And you know it when it happens, when you get that perfectly executed shot. You know it in that instant.”
“Yes. So satisfying.”
“I love what I do. It’s like you capture a life in that one moment. Freeze it. That light of a person, caught in a bottle, their essence frozen irrevocably. Whatever look they had on their face, whatever thought was going through their mind, stopped in that one instant for all eternity.”
“I feel you. I know that not everyone thinks much of my job. Maybe it’s not world-changing. But day after day, subject by subject, I think eventually I must be making a difference. Someday it will be noticed. ”
“You’re right. I think we’re both right. So many people need our work.”
“I’ve taken so many…”
“OK, gotta get to a gig. Beer’s on me this time!”
“Aw, thank you, man!”
“No worries, had a couple big jobs lately, doing well. Heading over to do a wedding right now.”
“What a coincidence, me too!”
“Ha, wouldn’t that be a riot if we were booked for the same one!”
“Yes, it sure would…”

P h o t o g r a p h y Photography is the science of art, application and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically. There are many genre of photography but my main genre is street photography. Street photography, also sometimes called candid photography, is photography conducted for art or enquiry that features unmediated chance encounters and random incidents within public places. Black and white are added to some street photography portraitures and shots because it emphasized the emotion that the photographer is trying to capture. Mobile photography is also popping in 2017. Some of my shots are actually taken from my mobile phone. I also believe in the saying “the best camera is the one you have with you”, your phone is in your pocket, use it like you dont have any camera or dslr with you, good photographers don’t rely on cameras. Good photographers can deliver and capture great moments simply by using a phone or even a low quality camera. Composition, proper framing, and proper lighting are keys to achieve beautiful shots.
Always think positive
