Truth
I get to spend a lot of time on my own, and that is actually pretty refreshening.
Lots will happen, you will probably get lost at least 5 times, but that’s ok, everyone goes through it...right?
School talk
Also, speaking of school, the cool thing about being on exchange is that I am able to not care that much about it for once :)
But then again, after enrolling in a course named Modern Asia I understood some aspects of the relationship Asia–Australia
AND think it’s unfair that the Asian aisle is much better stocked than the mexican one with 3 bottles of “salsa”
AND, you’re always gonna be annoyed with the selection of mexican products at supermarkets.
Serious talk
Now, it’s not hard being a mexican in Melbourne since it’s very multicultural, but you’re always gonna miss the food, always.
Anyway, while overseas, you will definitely have friends, just don’t always expect 3 billion.
Also, contrary to some opinions, I believe that you can also keep and strengthen bonds with people back home.
What I think: a couple of good friends always go a long way – and yes, you can quote me on this.
Me when I hear the stories of other exchange students and their billion friends overseas.
Lesson
Here’s a lesson for the kids: it’s OK to not have 8 million friends while you’re on exchange.
Oh...
So, as it turns out, I actually have to talk to people and be social to have friends...hmmm.
School
So, I was actually looking forward to starting Uni so I could, you know, have friends and stuff like that.
The horror
By the way, I got to Australia BEFORE Netflix got here...dark times I tell you.
Day to day
I suddenly found (or find) myself surfing the Internet much more than I used to.
